Chapter 44

"Look at this Selene" I walked over to Hannah who had her face pressed against the glass of a selection of jewellery. After spending a night in the hotel, we headed into the town for shopping.

I bent down and saw a pair of beautiful peridot earrings which were Hannah's birthstone.

I glanced at her from the corner of my eye, I found it funny to see her eyes light up, but Hannah was a sucker for earrings especially ones this beautiful. Hannah had always liked expensive things, but she wanted to work harder and barely spend her hard-earned money of materialistic things.

"why don't you try them" I said. I looked up at the woman urging her to pull them out. "no Selene I couldn't, I can't afford these" she says stepping away. The woman paused.

"carry on, just ignore her I'm your customer" I said.

I felt Hannah tugging at my arm. What did she expect would happen when she would show me them and she desperately wanted them?

I walked around to the opposite table and picked up a pretty bracelet lined with diamonds. "I'll take these, could you gift wrap it too" I told the man. These would be perfect for mum. When he handed me the bag, I walked back over to Hannah who was staring in the mirror wearing the earrings.

"oh, I love them" she sang out turning her hair and pushing her hair behind her ear.

That was all I needed to hear. "we will take them" I said.

I couldn't help but smile as we walked out of the store. She was showing her earrings off on Instagram. The woman said that she could just wear them, Hannah was very excited.

"I love you so so much Selly, omg I can't believe this" she said as she linked her arm with mine.

Some people might say that she is being materialistic or only saying this because I bought her expensive earrings, but this is the least I could do for her. When I was just starting out, she was right next to me, being my biggest supporter when I didn't even believe in myself.

"believe it Hans, you deserve it" I said pulling her along with me.

We made it back over to the car. I joined our new bags along with the others in the boot before getting into the driver's side.

We planned to head home and change into dresses and dine out in a restaurant by the beach. A few girls that I knew from before had gotten information about us being in Columbia and insisted that we have dinner with them.

"some people would say you're buying my love" Hannah commented as we started our drive back to the hotel.

I flickered my eyes over to her. "do you think that?"

She grinned to herself, I had known of how others thought of our friendship, but I only really cared in Hannah honestly felt this way about our friendship.

"of course, I don't, you just really fucking love me"

I breathed out deeply.

"please don't let other people dictate what we are Selene. I got this excited when you bought me a mcflurry years ago. Your friendship means the world to me, way more than you realise" I sat here stunned. Was she really going to make me cry?

"Please shut up" I mumbled as I turned into the hotel parking lot.

Her giggle was enough to stop the unwanted tears. She leaned over and kissed my cheek. "I love you Selly" I watched her jump out of the car. "I love you too Hans" I said quietly.

1 hour later me and Hannah were sitting on our hotel bed finishing off our makeup. Hannah had my phone on a small stand, broadcasting live as we got ready.

I stood up and adjusted my dress in the large mirror when I heard Hannah loud laugh.

"Selene, Nick just commented"

I froze as I turned around. He was watching. I came up to the camera and scrolled down.

Where are you girls going?

As I read the comment my phone lit up with Nick's name flashing on the screen.

"omg so cute, go take it I'll go live on mine instead" Hannah giggled as she ended the live.

I grabbed my phone and walked into the bathroom.

"change" was his cold greeting, if you could even call that a greeting. The dress that I was wearing was an off the shoulder silk dress that reached my thighs.

I had bought it today and instantly fallen in love with it. Nick was sitting in his kitchen; he was eating all alone.

"don't you like it" I pretended to sulk as I posed for him in my dress. I liked seeing him stare at me, I felt even sexier when he did.

"the opposite, I love it Selene you look beautiful but that also means a lot of other men will and I am not there to show them exactly who you belong to."

Some girls would hate it if their boyfriend said this, but I knew that Nick didn't mean it in an overly possessive way. And frankly I was his as much as he was mine.

"all this is your Nick, wherever I am. I am always yours" I whispered.

I bit my lip as a deep groan broke from his lips. "it's still early, I can always catch a plane there right now, pull some strings maybe and get a private jet out there"

The desperate side of me wanted nothing more than him to do exactly that but at the same time I needed to make sure this stayed a girl's trip.

This was for Hannah and me.

"you can't come here. We are having dinner at a private restaurant with a few girls, meaning girls only" I said hopefully I could reassure him.

"doesn't mean there won't be guys there" he grumbles.
