Take Me To Church

I should've written this rant a long time ago, but yknow, I'm not good at doing things on time -she says as she has 14 overdue homework assignments-

I love this song -it's by Hozier, I'll put the video on the side-. I first heard the song on the radio, and then I googled it bc I can. The music video though, oh my lord. It's about -if you're too lazy to watch the video- two gay guys who are hiding being gay from their church. Some guys -I assume they're kinda like churchy hitmen- are basically stalking the two gay guys, and attack one of the gay guys one night. They drag him to this giant bonfire and set him on fire.

The song -at least what I got from it- is it's about two gay guys hiding being gay from their church, and that they know if anyone finds out they'll be shunned, or by reference of the song -'I'll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife'- they'll be killed.

That's not what this rant is about though. The rant is about the comments. If you value your sanity, don't take a stroll through these comments, because it will kill you.

There was one, I'm shortening the sentence, "I used to love this song until I watched the music video. The two guys holding hands ruined this song for me."

Okay, I'm sorry, but this one's kinda funny. In a you're-an-asshole kinda way. I just chuckled at the 'rejected vagina' part okay. The rest of it: dude, who ever sold you the drugs gave you the wrong shit okay.

I hope god doesn't forgive your ass's sins, god damn. Technically, -I still can't spell- swearing is a sin. And yet your ass can pray for forgiveness, but if being gay is a sin, can't they pray for forgiveness too? But we all know you're gonna pray for forgiveness and then go and swear again, so why can't these people pray for forgiveness -if they so wish to- and then go back to being gay? And I think *you're a disgrace to the human race because you're a close-minded mother fucker who needs to sit the hell down.

*NOTE:* I, personally, believe that there is no god. To me, I use god as a joke, not in an offensive way or anything, just ironically. If you believe differently, that is fine, and I am not trying to say that these people are wrong because god isn't real. I am just trying to say that they're being completely unfair to gay people and ygm?
