"Y/N!" I heard a voice yell to me. Caught off guard, I dropped the knife to the ground. "What the hell are you doing?" The familiar voice called out to me again, finally the rough but soft voice became clear.

"John?" He ran towards me, bow in hand. I'm guessing he was out hunting.

"Why the hell do you got a blade pointed to your chest?" John said, a worried look on his face. He bent down and picked up the knife, putting it in his satchel. "Y/N, what's wrong?" His voice was soft and comforting.

"I.. I just- I was.." I couldn't find the words. I was just in shock. Was I really going to do that? No. No, I can't. I felt tears run down my face and John wrapped his arms around me. He pulled me against his chest, I wrapped my arms and his neck and cried into his chest. "I don't know what to do John! He's.. He's.."

"Shh, it's okay." He wrapped his arms tighter around me, his bow was now placed back on his horse. "What happened?"

I looked up at him, tears still falling down my face. He quickly wiped the tears away. "Arthur, he was telling me that," My voice cracked as tears started rolling down my face again. "That I need to run away and he doesn't have much time left and I just-" I cried into his chest once again, he rubbed my back and rested his head on my shoulder.

"It'll be okay." He said with a calm voice. I heard footsteps making its way to us and I glanced to my side to see Arthur with anger in his face but sadness in his eyes. He pushed John away from me.

"What's goin' on?" Arthur said with a calm voice but I could sense the anger.

"Just trying to make her feel better about, once again, something you caused." John snapped at Arthur.

Arthur got in his face and had a challenging expression on. "I didn't cause shit, you just like stirrin' the pot."

"Yeah? Than go ahead and ask her why she's bawling her eyes out!" John pointed to me, Arthur turned to see my eyes bloodshot, his face immediately turned from anger to concern and sympathy.

"I'm just trying to help you before-" Arthur cut himself off but I knew what he was going to say.

"I don't wanna live without you!" I could see the surprise on Johns face, he took a step towards me.

"You were going to.." He trailed off, trying to find the right words. "Like.. Ya know.." John took out the knife and gestured it towards his chest, as if he was going to stab himself. I dragged my hand down my face, thinking of how John did not take that subtlety at all. I slightly nodded my head. He dropped the knife in shock and wrapped his arms around me once again. "Please don't.. I.."

"You what, John?" Arthur shouted with a hoarse voice. "You love her?"

I saw Johns face turn pink and he removed his arms from around me and turned to Arthur. "Maybe I do."

"That's my woman, John."

"Yeah? Why are you making your woman want to do that to herself!"

"Well it's not like I knew! And I can't just get rid of my TB!"

I felt my head get light. My anxiety immediately kicked in. Their voices were drowned out and I felt my eyes flutter shut. I fell to the ground and blacked out.

-----

I woke up back in camp, still feeling a bit light headed. I looked around to see I was laying on my cot in my tent. I tried to remember what had happened before I passed out but nothing came to mind.

I looked around my tent to see Arthur leaning against my clothes chest. I tossed off the blanket that was on top of me and stood up from my cot. My legs gave way from under me and I fell back on to my cot, making a loud thud. Arthur shot up and turned to see me rubbing the back of my head.

"Your awake." He said, getting up from the ground and making his way towards me.

"Yeah, obviously I'm awake." I said with a sarcastic tone. He sat down next to me.

"You remember anything that happened?" I shook my head and looked to Arthur.

"Anything I should remember?" Arthur paused for a moment.

"No. You just got hit pretty hard in the head and passed out." He paused again than stood up. "Could you give me a second?" I nodded and he stepped out of my tent, I heard faint talking from outside and decided to ignore it. I stood up from my cot, still shaking and made a successful attempt to put on my boots and gun belt.

I headed outside my tent and was immediately greeted by Dutch. "Finally your awake! Those boys brought you in yesterday, passed out. They wouldn't stop bickering 'bout something. Seem fine now though." Dutch pointed the cigar in his hand to Arthur and John.

"Really? What about?" I turned back to Dutch, an eyebrow raised.

"Well it was about you actually, going back and forth about how you don't love him and he shouldn't love you, lots of shit." Dutch chuckled and took a long drag from his cigar. "Almost killed each other too." I waited for Dutch to laugh but he only had a stern look on his face.

"Your not joking? They really tried to kill each other?" Dutch slightly nodded and started speed walking to his tent.

I made my way to John and Arthur and rested my hands on my hips. The memories were slowly coming back to me. "Y'all got something to say to me?"

They looked to each other, realizing that I remembered what happened yesterday. "Well-" Arthur tried to explain but I cut him off.

"You lied to me about what happened," I looked to Arthur than to John. "And you said that you love me." They both looked at each other than back at me. "I don't need to be in a love triangle with you two so let's just get to the point. John you have Abigail and Jack, and as much as you mean to me I don't love you like that, I'm sorry." Johns face was filled with disappointment. "And Arthur, don't ever lie to me again. Especially over something like this, and stop being so jealous."

John and Arthur both have shocked looks on their faces. They seemed surprised from how straight forward I'm being. "And we're not gonna talk about what I almost did last night, ever." Tears filled my eyes as the memory of what I almost did came back.

"Yes ma'am." They both said, tipping their hats at me.

I felt absolutely exhausted still and made my way back to my tent. Arthur followed in.

"I'm sorry I lied to you, I just didn't want you leaving me for Marston." Arthur admitted to me, his hat covering the upper part of his face.

"It's alright, Arthur. Just no more drama between the two of you, please?" Arthur nodded and looked up to me. He was getting more pale and his cheekbones were getting way more noticeable.

"Come on we gotta meet Micah and Bill in Van Horn." Arthur reaches his hand out to me and I grab it, hesitantly. I still wasn't feeling all that great but I didn't want Arthur to go alone.
