I woke up to Sadie shaking me. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I looked to her and she had a huge smile on her face.
"What?" I asked with a groggy voice.
"John answered, he's at that ranch and goes by Jim Milton." Sadie chuckled.
"Milton.." I muttered, getting out of bed and brushing my hair.
"He's gonna pay us a visit in Valentine." Sadie said, putting on her belt and hat.
"Alright." I felt slightly nervous, it's been awhile since I've seen John and we aren't as close as we used to be.
We walked out of the room and made our way to the horses. I mounted up, following with Sadie, and we rode out of Saint Denis, making our way to Valentine.
---
Finally, we made it to Valentine and hitched our horses in front of the saloon. We hopped off and Sadie headed towards the General Store.
"I gotta pick somethin' up, you just head to the saloon." She yelled to me as she walked in the store and closed the door behind her.
I shrugged and stepped into the saloon, there weren't many people there. I headed towards the bartender and leaned against the counter.
"Get me a cold one." I demanded, throwing a few coins on the counter.
"You.." A man spoke from behind me. "You're Y/N L/N."
I took a sip of my beer and turned to him, he was now standing right next to me.
"Maybe I am." I said, taking a swig of my beer and slamming it down on the counter.
"I got a message for ya." The man whispered to me.
"From who?"
"Micah." The man smirked as he saw the anger in my eyes. "He wants you to know that Arthur Morgan's rotting in hell, and you will be soon."
Anger completely overtook me, I felt my chest tighten up as I pulled out my knife and stabbed it through his hand that was sitting on the counter. I pushed the knife down so his hand was stuck to the counter.
The man yelled in pain and I chuckled as he struggled to pull the knife. The bastard deserved it.
"Get the hell out, before she kills us all!" A familiar voice yelled, pulling the knife out of the mans hand and pushing him away.
The man ran out, he was lucky to still have all his fingers in tact. I turned to the familiar voice. My eyes widened as I came to view with the person standing in front of me.
"John?" I looked at him with wide eyes, slightly tilting my head.
"You just got crazier, didn't ya?" He chuckled, pulling me into a hug.
I returned the hug and dug my head into his chest. I hadn't seen this man in so long, my best friend, my brother. I felt so happy to finally be with him again.
"We havin' a reunion without me?" Sadie said from behind us. I pulled away from John and turned to her.
"Hey Sadie." John laughed, giving her a hug.
"How you been, John?" Sadie asked.
"Don't you mean Jim Milton?" I chuckled, raising a brow and shifting my weight from one foot to the other.
"Oh yeah, sorry Mister Milton." Sadie smirked and grabbed a beer from the bartender.
John turned to me and raised a brow. "How'd that guy piss you off?"
