A shot rang through the cabin and there was a loud thump. Y/N dropped her gun to the floor. She looked behind her to see a familiar face, laying on the floor, bleeding out.

"Nate?" Y/N stepped back, fear was clear on her face. Arthur had shot him in the shoulder when he walked in. Y/N quickly grabbed her gun from the floor and stood behind Arthur.

Arthur holstered his gun and looked to Y/N, she was trembling. She stared blankly at Nate, he wanted to wrap his arms around her and comfort her, but felt she wouldn't react well.

Nate stood up from the floor, pressing his hand to his shoulder. "Y/N, you're coming with me."

Y/N just stood there, still trembling. Arthur took a minute to study the man. He was a bit muscular but still smaller than Arthur, although they were the same height. He had dark, well groomed hair and tan skin. He wore a suit, giving Arthur the guess that he had money, and lots of it.

"She ain't goin' nowhere with you, Mister..." Arthur paused, waiting for the man to help him out with his name.

"Drafin. Y/N's fiancé.." Nate gave Arthur an intimidating look, but it wasn't intimidating enough.

"I ain't your fiancé, Nate." Y/N spoke up, she narrowed her eyes at Nate.

"Don't be silly, darling." Nate went to grab Y/N's arm but Arthur immediately stopped him by grabbing his injured shoulder, making Nate wince in pain.

"Hands off the lady, Mister." Nate stepped back from the two and put pressure on his shoulder.

"Listen, Arthur-" Arthur cut Nate off from talking.

"How do you know my name?" Arthur raised a brow, glancing over at Y/N who now had a blank expression on her face.

"Oh, Y/N told me about you. In fact, she never stopped talking about you. Until I had to shut her up." Nate glanced over at Y/N with a cold look, making her flinch. Arthur was having a hard time understanding why she was so scared of the man, he's never seen her this frightened by someone.

"I'm sure she did.." Arthur quickly looked outside the window, seeing that there was only one horse out there, meaning that Nate came alone.

"Anyway, as I was saying before you so rudely cut me off, Y/N is my fiancé. I'm afraid you'll have to move out of the way and have her come with me. If not, I will have to go to different measures." Nate seemed to be trying to threaten Arthur, but that wasn't working one bit, Arthur stayed where he was.

"I think it's time for you to go, friend." Arthur stepped closer to Nate, crossing his arms over his chest.

"What are you, sir? A cowboy? That's what Y/N described you as, but I don't think that's the whole story. Maybe, you're a outlaw that's been through so much your heart has hardened from it and now you are a cold, selfish killer who has no care for anyone but himself. Maybe that's what you are or, you act like your all tough on the outside but really, your a softie on the inside and when people get close to you, they hurt you. Is that who you are, Mister Morgan? Even better, are you both of those things?" Nate smirked as he saw Arthur's tough cover turn into vulnerability.
