We packed everything and Charles led us to the new camp. As we made our way to it, I finally saw it.
"Looks like we're going up in the world!" I say, nudging John.
He laughed. "Yup, too bad we won't be staying for too long. I'd say we won't make it two weeks!" I rolled my eyes and John stopped the wagon and helped me off. I was still feeling pain in my arms but the rest was just sore.
I walked up to the house and saw Arthur walk out. "Welcome home, to my humble abode!" I rolled my eyes at him and he wrapped his arm around me and walked towards everyone. "Ignore the corpses and the alligators, it's paradise!" I laughed at him as we walked towards Dutch.
"This is a real good spot, how about you and Y/N head into town and see what we're working with." I nodded.
"Sure, Dutch." I walked over to my horse while Dutch and Arthur talked a little longer. I gave H/N a sugar cube and mounted her/him. Arthur walked up and got on his horse.
"Alright, lets go check out Saint Denis." He said patting his horse.
"I know the way, follow me." I raced out of camp with Arthur behind me.
"Slow down, woman!" I laughed at him.

We made our way into Saint Denis and Arthur had a annoyed look on his face.
"I hate the city." He snickered.
"You'll learn to like it." I chuckled and stopped near the tailor. "How about I go check out the saloon and you go ask around."
Arthur scoffed. "Why can't I go in the saloon?"
I laughed at him. "Well we don't need you getting in a fight already, now do we?"
I rode away and got to the saloon. As I walked in everyone stared at me but soon went about their business. I went up to the bar and ordered a drink.
Arthur's POV
I watched Y/N ride away before turning to go talk to a few people, I asked a couple people some questions but nothing interesting.
I decided to meet up with Y/N at the saloon. When I walked into the saloon I saw Y/N taking a sip of her drink. There was some drunk bothering her.
Y/N's POV
This guy just would not leave me alone.
"C'mon little lady, You'll have a good time." I rolled my eyes in disgust and took another sip of my drink. The man knocked the drink out of my hand and grabbed my arm.
"Let go of me you sick bastard!" I struggled to get out of his grip and it was harder considering the injury I had on my arm.
"How about you leave her alone, boah." Arthur walked up and I was so relieved to see him. The man looked at Arthur and twisted my arm.
I whispered under my breath. "Shit."
Arthur noticed that he hurt me and that just made him angrier. "How about we take this outside, buddy." I tried struggling again but it just made the man tighten his grip even more. I looked into Arthur's ice blue eyes and saw his anger growing.
"How about I just take this one and we save the trouble." The man slurred and pulled me towards the door but Arthur aimed his gun to his head and the man stopped in his tracks and let me go. He turned to Arthur and put his hands up.
"Hey man, I was just messing around." He stuttered and Arthur put his gun in his holster.
"Leave my woman alone." Arthur got all in his face with fury in his eyes.
His woman? He was talking about me? I looked around and noticed that there was nobody around. Oh my gosh he was talking about me.
The man ran out of the saloon and Arthur checked the red mark on my arm.
"Next time, I go to the saloon." He looked at me with a stern look.
"So, your woman?" I said, walking next to Arthur as we walked out of the saloon.
He rubbed the back of his neck and looked down. "It was uh.." He cleared his throat. "Just the heat of the moment I'm guessin"
I nodded my head and planted a kiss on his check. "Well thank you, Mr. Morgan." I saw his face turn a bit red.
We mounted our horses and started riding to camp. On the way there Arthur stopped. "Maybe we should just set up camp, it's getting dark." I nodded and made my way to an enclosed spot in some trees and set up my tent. Arthur just laid out his bed roll. I sat by the fire next to Arthur and took some fish out of my satchel to cook.
"Y/N.." Arthur said. I looked up with a questionable look on my face.
"Yeah?" I said still cooking my fish.
Arthur cleared his throat and blurted out, "I love you, and I've always loved you, when you left.." He trailed off and looked at the ground, his hat covering his face.
I took his hat off and grabbed his coat and kissed him. He grabbed my hips and pulled me closer to him as the kiss got deeper. Arthur picked me up and and laid me down in the tent.
"You sure?" He asks looking me over.
I nodded and gave myself to him.
The next day
The sun beamed through the tent and I squinted, my eyes adjusting to the light. I looked up at Arthur to see he was still sleeping. I stayed there for a little bit, laying my head on his chest while playing with his soft brown hair.
After just sitting there for a little bit I got up and got dressed. I took out some ground coffee and used it to make me and Arthur coffee. In the middle of me making it I was caught off guard by a chuckle coming from the tent. I popped my head in to see Arthur reading the pages of my journal.
"Hey give me that!" I went to grab my journal from him but I missed and fell on top of him. I hit my arm on the ground and winced in pain, my arm was still sore.
"Sorry, darl." I rolled to the side of him and sighed.
"Can I have my journal back please?" My face formed a pouty face. He looked over to me and paused for a moment.
"Fine." He handed me my journal and I smiled.
"Thank you, Arthur." I pecked his lips and got out of the tent, putting my journal back in my satchel.
He got out of the tent and got dressed. I sat down and poured us a cup of coffee. "So Arthur.."
He looked up at me and grabbed the coffee from my hand. "Yeah?"
I took another sip of my coffee. "What does this mean.. between you and me?"
Arthur sat next to me and placed his hat on my head. "I guess your my woman now." I felt my face heat up and stood up.
"We should get going now." I said, speed walking over to my horse.
Arthur took down the tent and packed everything up and we headed off back to camp.
