Chapter 1 The Vaccine

The year is now 1100, humanity's population has grown. More people have been joining the Military Police or the Garrison, because there haven't been any activity with the titans. Rarely does anyone join the Survey Corps. When people join, they get a life supply of food and salt, that is why my uncle has joined. To feed my family and I.

My two friends, Mariana and Jen, and I live in what's known as a 'tax' district, on the west side of Wall Maria. This is because the citizens that live in our district, have our taxes lower then others. Our district was called Nishi. We all work together at the local market.

Before Eren Jeager died, scientists have made a vaccine, that kills any
'un-human' cells. Everyone has to be given the shot every year to prevent another person the be able to transform into a Titan. The side effects is puking and head aches, but ever sense I turned 9 years old, I've been going into a short coma-like state. And seeing visions of things I can't explain.

"Lilly, lets go already!" Says Mariana. Jen grabs me and begins to punch my muscle in my arm.
"Your beginning to shake again!! Relax." Yells Jen.
"I can't! You guys know what happens to me when I get the vaccine! And it's just embarrassing that we need to get a wagon to bring me home!" I say as I look at Jen. Mariana hugs me and says "Take a deep breath and just tell us when your going to black out, okay?" I sigh and replied with "Alright."

As we wait in line for the vaccine, the smell of puke fills the air. Mariana and Jen have just gotten the shot and are beginning to up-chuck their breakfast. I walk up to the chair and sit down, waiting for Dr. Jeager to give me the shot. Dr. Jeager is the scientist who delivers the vaxsine. She goes to every village and district all over the kingdom to give the shot.

"When your friends are finished over there, they are going to get a wagon and take you home." Says Jeager. She knows what happens to me, she has seen year after year with me. Jeager gets the syringe filled with a dark liquid inside. She wipes my arm with a wet cloth and sticks the needle into my arm. Penetrating my skin, into my muscle. The pain was unbearable, but I bit my lip to ignore it. When Jeager is done, I get up and begin to walk. I was already feeling dizzy, then I collapse. I can feel people grab onto my arms, trying to pull me up. I hear Mariana say "Look at her eyes! They're beginning to glow!" Before I was going to be unconscious, I was able to get one final sentence out. "Mariana, I'm... gunna... black......"
