Chapter Twelve

12 - Caption

Everything must come to an end. Dahil may mga bagay na magsisimula na naman. We must know how to learn the essence of beginning and ending for us to know how to ready ourselves if the time may come to let go of something and to welcome something new.

Last day na ng exams ngayong araw. Excitement rushing in my system since this final exam comes to an end. After this hectic week, we'll have our Foundation Week and also our semestral break.

Mabilis natapos ang araw na ito. Pagkapasa ko ay agad akong nagligpit ng gamit at lumabas na sa classroom.

I looked at my phone and there's a message from Zoey. I noticed that it was received three minutes ago.

Zoey:

Hey, meet me at our favorite cafe. I have something to discuss. Love you. See you in 15 minutes.

Me:

Okay, I'm on my way. Love you too.

As soon as I went inside the cafe, I smiled when I saw that our favorite place here was unoccupied.

Zoey:

On my way, Thalia.

Basa ko sa mensahe ni Zoey. Ilang minuto lang ay dumating na rin siya.

"Punta tayo sa mall bukas. Samahan mo ako please. Namiss kita." Alok niya.

"Zoey may practice kami for the upcoming Foundation Week."

"What?" Gulat niyang sabi.

Hindi ko nga pala sa kanya nasabi yung usapan namin ni Coach Alcantara na inalok niya ako sa varsity at tumanggi ako kaya napasali na lang ako para sa Foundation Week.

Kinwento ko naman sa kanya ang nangyari kaya ako kasali.

Nakita ko naman ang paglungkot ng mukha niya kaya hindi na naman ako nakatiis na paginhawain ang loob niya.

"We can go out after my practice if you want." I offered. As soon as she heard that, she beamed wider and started to tell me what we'll do tomorrow.

"Okay, okay. I'll go there tomorrow para sabay na tayo alis. Maybe 30 minutes before you end. Manonood na rin ako dahil bihira kita makitang maglaro."

"Sige. I'll text you if we are about to end na lang."

We bid our goodbyes after. We decided to end this day for us to rest since we just finished our exam.

"I don't want to refrain you from resting, so let's go home, Thalia. You should take a rest na dahil may practice ka pa bukas."

"Okay. See you tomorrow."

Pagkauwi ko ay naligo ulit ako. Pagkahiga ko sa kama ko ay hindi ko na namalayan na nakatulog na ako.

I woke up with a series of rings from my cellphone. Zavi was calling using facetime. Nakita ko rin ang oras na alas syete na ng gabi at umaga naman sa kanila.

"Good morning, Zavi!" I smiled at him.

Ang gwapo gwapo niya sa umaga. Magulong ayos ang buhok and he's topless!

Although I can't see his whole body I can't help but blush. Mabuti na lang at hindi kami magkaharap ng personal at makita niya ang namumula kong mukha.

"Good evening, Thalia." His bedroom voice sent shivers down my spine. Medyo kaiba sa baritono niyang boses.

"How are you?" Tanong ko nang makitang wala siyang balak na magsalita at tumitig lang sa screen.
