14 - Winked

Napangiti naman ako nang makita ko ang post ni Zavi. I immediately double-tapped the picture to like it. Then I realized I didn't like it. I actually love it.

I refrained from commenting there. Wala lang. Naisip ko lang na tama iyong post para ako kiligin sa araw na ito.

I followed Zavi way back when I had a crush on him. Then, he followed me back after the brunch I went to.

Naalala ko pa nga na kulang na lang ay gumulong ako sa saya nang malaman kong he followed me. My crush followed me!

Iba iyong saya eh. Ewan ko ba hindi ko maipaliwanag.

"Oh! You're here!" Bungad ni Jave nang magkita kami sa dinner party.

"Oo, pinilit ako ni Zoey. Hindi na ako nakatanggi."

"I see." Ngiti niya.

Nilibot ko ang tingin sa food court at may mga bagong dating na rin. Hindi ko kilala iyong iba dahil na rin hindi naman ako maalaam sa varsities sa amin lalo na sa ibang sports maliban sa volleyball.

"Anyway, Thalia. I'll go say hi to my friends. Are you fine here?"

"Yes. Yes. You can go." Sabi ko naman kay Jave.

"Okay. See you later." Tumango naman ako sa kanya.

Wala si Zoey dito dahil nagpaalam para pumunta sa comfort room kaya naiwan akong mag-isa.

My phone beeped. I glanced at it and saw Zavi replied to my message already.

Zavi Alexander:

Varsity? Volleyball?

Oh, I forgot to tell him. I just told him, varsity players. And not varsity players of basketball.

I bit my lip trying to find the safest answer. I don't know. It feels like nakalimot ako sa kung ano ang mararamdaman ni Zavi sa ngayon.

Me:

No. Basketball.

Hindi naman siguro siya magagalit hindi ba? I just like I omitted something that causes a lie.

Zavi Alexander:

There are too many guys there, Thalia. Please be safe, okay?

I exhaled when I read his reply. Of course, he'll never get mad since he's rational.

Lagi na lang siyang ganito lalo na tuwing wala siya. Keeps on checking up on me and telling me to stay safe and take care of myself.

I can't help but smile because of his thoughtfulness. Who would have known that the powerful man he is, can be this compassionate.

That's the reason why I am drowning more and more in the love I have for him. Ang hirap makaahon lalo na sa mga bagay na ipinapakita niya. Not that I want to be saved from drowning.

Me:

Yes. I will. At nandito naman si Zoey, Blaze, si Kuya Zach, Jave at pinsan mo.

Pinaalam ko na lang sa kanya kung sino ang mga kakilala niya. Para na rin mapanatag siya.

Zavi Alexander:

Ridge is there?

Me:

Yes. Why? He's a varsity that's why he should be here.

Gano'n ba talaga sila nag-aalala tuwing may Ridge sa paligid ko. Is he really a walking danger?
