Chapter Twenty-Six

26 - Cute

I saw Zoey half-running towards me. Katatapos lang kasi ng final exam natin for this semester. The academic year was about to end.

The days went by quickly. We also celebrated Zoey and my birthday along with their family.

Wala si mommy dahil sumama kay Tita Yna. They told me they'll go to Tita's hometown in Batangas.

"Excited na ako this break!" Zoey exclaimed as she reached me.

"Ako rin." Sabay ko sa kasiyahan niya.

The whole year was very challenging. Mas kakaiba noong first year kami. We gave everything just to pass, and luckily, our efforts paid off when we got our passing marks in every subject.

And as for my personal life, it was challenging too. Hindi ko masasabing masaya sa nagdaang araw na lumilipas dahil may mga araw din na ginugusto kong pabilisin ito.

That was when mommy was rushed two times in the hospital. Zoey knew about that but never Zavi.

The reason is that I don't want to add a burden to his life. It's enough for me that he's there, calming me and making my worries away.

He felt like home. He's my home.

"I am so glad that you decided to go with us." It was Zoey. Andito ako ngayon sa kwarto niya habang abala siya mag-impake.

We were going to Batangas. Kasama ang dalawang kapatid niya, her boyfriend, and friends of his two brothers. Alam ko rin ay kasama ang mga pinsan nila. Hindi ko lang alam kung sino pa maliban kay Ridge.

"Are you ready, baby?" Bungad ni Zavi sa akin pagkalapit ko sa kanya. I smiled and nodded at him.

He sniffed my hair then, he opened his car door. Pumasok naman agad ako.

They decided to use their own cars for the trip. Hindi rin naman daw masyadong nakakapagod dahil na rin mahigit isang oras lang ang byahe.

And Zavi told me that they are used to driving because of their involvement in car racing.

Ang alam ko lang na kasama kong babae ay si Zoey. I asked Zavi why won't his friends bring their girlfriends. He just told me that they're busy that's why they can't go with us.

"Gotcha." I heard behind as I felt the arms of Zavi wrapped around me.

Ramdam ko paglapat ng balat niya sa akin. I'm wearing a black two-piece and I put a maong shorts only.

"Zavi, ibaba mo ako!" Sigaw ko dahil buhat buhat niya ako. Pinapalo ko pa ang braso pero hindi man lang matinag dahil parang wala lang sa aknya ang ginagawa ko.

"No. I don't want to." He walked towards the sea until I felt the water around me already. At saka niya ako binaba.

I shrieked when I felt the cold water and heard him chuckled.

It was already dark when I went out from my room with Zoey. Natulog pa kasi kami pagkarating namin dito. At dito na nga ako nakita ni Zavi.

He wiped the water from my face as he faced me. Ako nama'y nakapalibot ang kamay sa leeg niya.

"There. So beautiful." Sambit niya habang titig na titig sa akin. Nawala naman ang talim sa tingin ko sa sinabi niya.

Ginagaya ko ang ginawa ni Zavi sa akin. I felt the burning stares he sent me but I ignored it.

"There. So handsome." I mocked, and I saw him smirked. I don't know what happened until I felt his lips descended on mine.

I cling my arms around his neck as I moved closer to him. Ramdam ko ang pagkagat niya sa ibabang labi ko habang naghahalikan kami.
