"thank you" i smiled as pop pulled up to my house. "i'm sorry you had to take me home"

"i wanted to. you think i was gon' let you walk home?" i rolled my eyes. "come on" he unlocked the doors before getting out.

"pop you really don't have to" i sighed as he opened my door.

"just get out the damn car" he chuckled helping me out before shutting it behind me.

"so your daughter? what's she like?" i asked as we made our way to the door.

earlier tonight, he had told me that he has a daughter.

at first i was shocked.. but i didn't really care. i wasn't gonna exclude him just because he had a baby at a young age.

"she's beautiful" he sighed. "she got the kindest heart and she's so ecstatic about everything" he chuckled lightly. "she's my world, that's for sure" i smiled at his response.

"she seems like a good time" i laughed as we made it to the door. "what about her mom?"

he kinda went quiet for awhile which made me feel bad thinking i just asked the worst question.

"oh no i'm sorry did she pass? is she oka-"

"she's fine" he spoke going to the bench on the porch before sitting down on it. "she just.. ion even know how to put it"

"just say it"

"she a bitch" he sighed. "she use me for my money and she always uses Kayla as a blackmail for me whenever i wanna leave her" he admitted.

"y'all still together?" i questioned sitting next to him.

"i wanna leave. i been stopped lovin' her since Kayla was born.. she became controlling and that's what made me fall out of love"

he has a whole family at home.. and i'm here with him.

"i gotta head inside" i sighed rubbing my
arm turning to the door.

"what? why you rushin' ?" he stood up.

"i just- thanks for the ride and tonight" i smiled slightly grabbing my key from my pocket.
