"there" i smiled looking at what i had done to kay's hair. "cutie"
"thanks mommy" she hugged me. "am i gonna have a sister?" i furrowed my eyebrows.
"where'd you get that from?" i pulled away.
"all my friends have brothers and sisters" she frowned. "i want one too"
"i get it, baby" i sighed. "but me and your dad are far from ready to give you a sibling"
"what y'all talkin' 'bout?" i looked up seeing pop walk into the living room.
"Daddy i wanna sister!" Kayla said tugging on his shirt.
"A sister? baby you have Bella. youn' need a sibling" she huffed.
"i just want somebody to play with" he sighed sitting on the couch next to me.
"what Ny Ny say" he pulled her onto his lap.
"that's your not ready"
"cause we ain't, Kayla. we don't even live together and Ny has to finish her school" she looked down.
"As soon as we're ready, okay?" i fixed her hair. "i promise"
"pinky promise?" i chuckled nodding.
"daddy wants you to have a sibling too he just knows i'm finishing school"
"just spill our business why don't you" i rolled my eyes at pops comment.
"he's a hater. but you have school in 20 minutes so let's go" i stood up. "i can drive her today"
"naw we goin' together" pop waved me off.
since Kayla's 5 now, she can go to kindergarten. pop didn't ask Bianca he just put her in it. this way, he can get more work done without having to worry about where kayla is and if she's okay 24/7.
