"tjay you needa' go to sleep" Ari sat next to me leaning her head on my shoulder. "i can handle her"

"i wanna watch her. go to sleep, Mama" she sighed.

getting into bed, i pulled her to me so she snuggled up to me draping her leg over mine.
"You still hurtin'?" i asked.
