A starry night loomed above, pretty enough to ignite the heart of any nature's life, yet neither of them cast their eyes upward to see it. All they cared about was moving their heavy boots over the slick mud and no amount of starlight could render the path visible. "What are we going to do now, Octavia's trail ran cold," questioned Finn.

"Let's just stay hopeful, tomorrow we resume the search," replied Wells.

"Stay hopeful you say, Octavia is missing and probably dead and all you could think of is staying hopeful," yelled Finn. He was angry at Wells for being so calm unlike him who was going crazy, out of his mind.

"Bellamy is going to kill us Wells," muttered Finn.

"Will you please calm down, no one is going to kill anyone," assured Wells. " I think whoever took her wanted her alive. If she were dead, we would have found her body."

They could see the camp's fire giving light to their dark surroundings, people were gathered around, staring at someone or something. Both Finn and Wells increased their paces towards the camp so as to see what caused the commotion.

"There you are," said Clarke as she plunged herself into Wells' embrace. Wells hugged her tightly scared she'd disappear once more.

" Ive been looking for you, y'know, Raven said you'd gone out searching for me, you shouldn't have done that," Clarke said.

Wells hadn't realized how angry he was at Clarke for leaving camp with Bellamy. He'd been so focused on finding her to know that he was pissed at her for leaving.

" You left Clarke, without saying goodbye, what if something bad had happened to you huh," snapped Wells, his voice breaking. All thoughts of loosing Octavia rushed to the surface imagining Clarke falling downhill that slope.

"Im sorry Wells, I never meant to worry you," said Clarke apologetically.

"Where's Octavia?, Isnt she supposed to be with you guys?" questioned Bellamy with a face that read worry.

"About that——," began Finn.
Bellamy didn't let Finn finish his sentence, he lunged forward at him and grabbed his neck, strangling him. He had Clarke plead for him to stop but he couldn't. The one person he cared for most was missing.

" Bellamy listen to me, we were out searching for you guys, she fell and—and, someone took her, probably a grounder but we believe she's alive," muttered Wells.

Bellamy's face grew pale, he let go of Finn's neck and fell to his knees. He felt numb. He could still hear voices, they were faint, he couldn't register whatever they were saying to each other or to him for that matter. All he could think of at that moment was his little sister, probably dead for all they knew. Dead. He thought. The thought of Octavia being dead made him sick. I have to go look for her. He thought to himself as he stood ready to leave camp.

"Bellamy, you cant go alone at this time, Wells said there is no trail and it is peach dark outside camp," It was Clarke's voice that snapped him out of his dreadful thoughts.

"Please, come back with me and- and tomorrow, we'll go search for her," she pleaded.

" Clarke, she's my whole life, I can't—," his voice was breaking. He hated showing weakness infront of others but with Clarke it was like he could just let go of all emotions.

He didnt know why he could but it was like she was his comfort zone. His eyes were filled with tears that threatened to flow down his cheeks whenever he tried to speak. Clarke pulled him into her embrace and assured him that everything will be okay. In her embrace, the world stopped still on its axis. There was no time, there was no wind. Bellamy's mind was at peace. How could it be that he hadn't seen Clarke's love before? Pure. Unselfish. Undemanding. Free. He felt her body press in, soft and warm. The feel of her body close to his soothed him more than he expected. After a while, he pulled away, his mind swam with thoughts of Octavia.

" We leave at dawn," was all he said before leaving Clarke standing alone wishing he hadn't ended the hug.
