Clarke found the darkness strange, living all her life in the ark, she had been used to seeing the sky in a different view than the one that she was seeing at the moment. She tilted her head skyward seeing millions of bright stars dotted on the black canvas of night. None of that light seem to filter far enough down to make any difference. She thought to herself and chuckled.
" Penny for your thoughts princess," said Finn pulling Clarke away from her thoughts of the night sky while sitting beside her. " What has gotten your attention this time?"
"It's the earth Finn, it's a weird and beautiful place to live. I keep on wondering why our ancestors would even think about creating weapons that would destroy it, I mean just look at the night sky, it's really beautiful," replied Clarke still staring at the sky. Finn stared at Clarke, wishing he could just wrap her in his arms and kiss her and tell her how hard he'd fallen for her. She'd probably think I'm crazy. He thought to himself. They've only known each other for a few weeks but Clarke was all he thought of, all the time. It was moments like this that Finn knew that he loved her. The way she effortlessly made everything fascinating , the way her eyes sparkled, whenever she spoke of how beautiful the earth was. He and Raven had broken up a few days ago because he'd grown distant and they both decided it was for the best, before they hurt each other more.

Raven loved Finn so much. He was her family, the only person who truly knew the struggles she faced with her mother. He was there for her. He made her feel alive in her darkest moments and she would forever be grateful for that. Ever since she came down from the ark she could sense that something was wrong with him. At first, all she could think of was because of the guilt he felt towards what had happened on the ark but with time it was obvious that it was far from that. Finn was inlove, and it wasn't with her but with Clarke. She'd been mad at first but soon enough she realized that Finn was allowed to love anyone else other than her. In his defense, she was dead until she wasn't when Bellamy brought her back to camp.
"I know you love her Finn, and it's alright." Raven had told him one night. It was breaking her heart to even say the words but she had to. She knew Finn would never leave her partly due to the promise he made to never leave her, to always be there for her no matter what and the guilt of him causing her to almost getting floated back on the ark.
"I'm sorry Raven, it just happened. I....I...," said Finn quite unable to form a sentence.
"And it's okay, what's not okay is you not telling her how you feel, for all we know she might be feeling the same way." Said Raven while smiling. It broke Finn's heart.
"What if she doesn't feel the same way?"questioned Finn.
" There's only one way to find out." replied Raven. " And you better hurry, you're not the only one, y'know, Bellamy has a thing for her too."
Finn furrowed his eyebrows," no, he doesn't, you're okay with me going after Clarke?" questioned Finn while glancing at Raven, searching approval in her eyes.
"Absolutely, go get the girl." Smiled Raven at him.

Finn had everything planned out. He'd go to her and tell her exactly how he feels and hope for the best. Being here with her at the moment, all the courage vanished. He was terrified. What if she doesnt love me?. He kept thinking.
"Are you going to stare at me all night,Finn?" Questioned Clarke pulling him away from his thoughts. Finn examined Clarke's face, swallowing her beauty in, before he knew it, his lips were on hers, he didn't care anymore, he just wanted to feel her lips, see how they taste. Before he could really take her all in, Clarke pushed him away aggressively. She was glaring at him, eyes wide.
"What do you think you're doing?" Questioned Clarke clenching her fists.
" I—I thought you wanted me to kiss you, I'm sorry I must have misinterpreted." Replied Finn.
Clarke rolled her eyes at him. " You can't just think Finn, you have to know that that is what I want before you go on forcing yourself on me," snapped Clarke.
"Again I'm sorry,it's just that I really like you Clarke, I like you so much that I can't help it," said Finn while moving towards Clarke. Clarke moved too, away from him.
" I'm sorry Finn, I really am." And with that Clarke ran away from him before he could force himself on her again.
You had to ruin your chances with her. Said Finn to himself.

Clarke remembered Bellamy's words, Finn likes you, she didn't believe him when he had told her. Finn can't like her, he's with Raven. I don't want him to like me.
" Clarke," Bellamy called.
Hearing his voice sent shivers down her spine. She suddenly felt hot. She remembered that they kissed earlier and Octavia walked on them. She'd liked how he tasted and she knew she wanted more. They had not really spoken about it and she didn't know what to say to him. When she felt him approaching closer, she turned her back to face him and began speaking without thinking.
" Bellamy, I'm sorry I kissed you, I don't know what I was thinking, it won't happen again. Said Clarke and immediately regreted saying the words. Before Bellamy could say anything, they saw a ship descending from the sky. They both glanced at it each other and said in unison.
