ONE LETTER CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET ONE. Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry is a special place for special children. At your 11th birthday, some get a letter in which they get an invitation to attend the school. Now on 1 September 1971, all the new students will go and all the seniors will return. That's why it's crazy buys at King's Cross Station between platform 9 and 10. At 9¾ families are saying goodbye to their children, while younger brothers and sisters are playing on the platform. There are two families who stand out. They are both so different. In a small corner stands the family of the lovely Lucy Collins. Her mom is talking to her and wishes her the best of luck as her dad doesn't say anything. He looks guarded and not relaxed like the woman. The girl looks excited but also scared. A little further there is another family. They have two children. A girl named Josephine Merriweather and a boy who looks a bit older than the girl. He excitedly says bye to his parents with a hug and after he runs into the train, probably to say hi to his friends. The girl on the other hand extensively hugs her parents and only after the first whistle she gets into the train. Two girls with different backgrounds and little do they know they are about to become best friends.

The train is already on his way for a few hours when the woman with the food trolley walks past the different coupe's. Lucy gets up to get something to eat when she sees something in the corner of her eyes. Three guys push a girl on the floor, she looks scared. "Sweetie, do you want something from my trolley?" "Excuse me," She says and she walks to the boys. At the same time Josephine, who was reading a book gets up to look where all the noises come from. Lucy walks past her coupe as she starts talking. "Hey stop that!" The boys look up, they all have a grin on their face. "Or else, little one!" Lucy pushes one of the boys hard and he stumbles backwards. "You think that will scare me? I am not a little girl like you." The boy with brown hair and brown eyes is mocking her and everyone in the hall knows it, the boys, Lucy and Josephine. "Shut up, do you think I am scared? Because then you are terribly wrong." She points her wand but before she can do something the boy with dark blonde hair and blue eyes pushes her to the ground. Lucy feels the anger flowing through her veins and Josephine notices something different. She steps in and rolls her eyes. "Ooh, another pretty girl." "Don't call me that." Josephine hisses as she helps Lucy up. "I would go if I were you because I will curse you," Lucy says angrily. "She's spicy guys." "Leave, assholes!" the boy with the dark blonde hair and blue eyes looks at the boy who just talked. "I get a Slytherin vibe, Charles. From both of them." "Didn't you hear her? She said leave or you three won't even be able to attend the sorting ceremony." Lucy has to squeeze her hands together to make sure she won't lose control. The boys laugh at each other and after they walk away.

Josephine looks at something behind Lucy. "Uhm I think you should stop doing that." She whispers as she points at all the candy on the trolley. They are floating in the air pointing at the spot where the boys were just a minute ago. The anger replaces fear and the candy drop on the trolley. "Please, don't tell anyone?" Lucy begs as she steps away from Josephine. "I don't know how I am doing this. I can't control it." Josephine laughs a bit. "I won't, because...-" She closes her eyes shortly and after she looks at the candy. It's in the air again. "I- How...-?" Lucy looks at Josephine. "I am Josephine Merriweather." "Lucy Collins." The girls look at each other for a moment. "You need to promise me you won't tell anyone, my parents don't know that I can do this." Says Lucy worried. "You have to promise as well." Says Josephine as she steps closer. Lucy holds out her pink and Josephine does the same. "I promise." They say at the same time. Little do they know that they both put something magical into the promise. Little do they know that this will have consequences when the secret ever comes out.
