chapter four; Night in the Woods
"If looks could kill you, you would've been dead by now, Luce."Lucy Reese Collins
"LUCE, WE ARE GOING OUTSIDE TO CHILL, ARE YOU JOINING US?" Hudson looks at me as do the others. My eyes go over the other students who are also debating if they are going outside. "I will join you later, but first I have to do something." I say as I see Nathaniel and the others a bit further. Isaac follows my gaze and sighs. "Please don't get yourself in trouble, Lucy. You already have detention." "It will be fine, don't worry about me." "Just don't do it, L." Jo starts to interfere. "Like I said, don't worry about it." I walk away from the group while ignoring Isaac who calls my name to get me back to them. I walk into the hall where the guys went and just around the corner they are waiting for me. "Well hello Collins." Says Noah with a small smile. "Hello guys." I say as I run my hand through my hair. "Your friends must be curious right now." Says Nate as he looks around the corner. I do the same and notice my friends are still at the same spot as before, probably discussing if they have to go after me. "Yeah, well they think I am about to kill Charles." Charles looks up with a small grin. "About that. You can be a real bitch when you are with your friends, Collins." I laughs and bite my lip. "Would you believe me if I told you I heard that before?" "Definitely," He grins while leaning against the wall. "I must say, the comment about Slytherin and Ravenclaw was a nasty one." Nate. "I don't even know how you know that about Charles." Finishes Theodore and I can see that he's curious. "I am a Ravenclaw for a reason, besides I know a lot about others and of course my dad works with Charles' mom." Charles rolls his eyes. "That was a mean one." "Yeah I know." I grin what makes him roll his eyes again. "Ahw was Charles actually offended by that? Poor boy." I mock him what makes him step closer to me. From the corner of my eyes I see how Theodore, Noah and Nate exchange a look. "You crossed a line there, Collins." "Did I Garfield? I thought you liked it when girls go against you?" I say with a grin on my face as I step back. "Most girls don't go for my family." "Well, I am not like most girls." He rolls his eyes, someone is clearly annoyed. "Remember what you said in our first year? "I get a Slytherin vibe" I will let you in on a secret. If it wasn't Ravenclaw, it would have been Slytherin." I say as I run my hand through my hair. He steps closer again, what makes me grin. "You-" "And this Charles... This was just the beginning." I grin and turn away from him. Nate gives me a look and hold out his hand for a moment. I give him a high five and walk away. I hear the boys arguining behind me. "Dude, she is really good." Laughs Cassius. "Oh shut up, White." It's Charles. The others just laugh, what makes me grin even more. My group is still where I left them. "I fixed it, now we can go outside." My friends look confused for a moment, but they still walk outside with me.

Jo and I walk through the corridors trying to get to the front door without getting caught by Filch. "We are crazy." Jo laughs as she hides behind statue. I do the same and wait till the ghost disappeared. "I know, but it's fine, as long as we are not getting caught." "True," she laughs and we walk further. When we are outside I look at Jo for a moment. "Are you ready?" She nods and smiles. I focus for a moment while closing my eyes. When I open them again my vision is more clear and I am faster than before. I am smaller and more flexible. I look at Jo who is now a big cat. My feathers are ocean blue and I must say I am beautiful as always. My inner animal, the blue cockatoo. I jump on Jo's back and together we run around hogwarts while enjoying the night and the beautiful environment. We come close to the forbidden forest and I spread my wings and get in the air. Jo stops walking as I scan the area making sure there aren't any dangerous creatures close by, because we would like to survive the night. When I come back at Jo's I jump on her back again and together we walk into the forest.

I GAZE AT ISAAC AND LUCY WHO ARE SHARING SOME LOOKS. "Like I said, don't worry about it." Lucy says before she walks away. Isaac calls out for her one more time but she has already disappeared into one of the corridors. "She'll be fine, Lucy can look out for herself." I say as I grasp Isaac's arm a bit. "I know that, but I just don't get why she is talking to them." "They have several classes together, Isaac, it's not a big deal." He grumbles a bit and look over at the place where Lucy left our sight but after look back to us. He then goes over to August and when he does Hudson moves over to me. "Hey, Jo?" I glanze at him, "yea?" "Can we talk tonight, I want to show you something?" I nod with a smile, "Sure, Hudson."
"Did anyone finish the Transfiguration project yet?" Lianna asks in general. "I did," I reply. "You did? How did you finish it already?" August questions. "I actually listen to what McGonagall has to say, unlike you and Isaac." I state as a chuckle leaves my mouth. "That's not fair! We listen..-" "No we don't, Isaac." Lianna giggles a bit at the sight of the two boys arguing. "But, for real, how did you finish it in one night?" "I was in the library all morning studying with Remus." I reply.
"I fixed it, now we can go outside." We all look to the side where Lucy is now standing again. I get a bit distracted by the vife boys walking into the courtyard. One of the boys, whos name is Charles, gives a nasty stare towards Lucy. "If looks could kill you, you would've been dead by now, Luce." I snicker. "I don't care, he is a pain in the arse." "Stop giving him attention then, because you keep talking to them." Lianna states. "But you know how I love to play with guys." I laugh a bit. "Yea, we all know that." She shakes her head a bit while laughing as we start to walk towards the guys again. "Look, I don't like them, but this year I almost have all my classes with them, so I can decide to ignore them and have the worst schedule ever or I choose to live arround them and try to have a good year." "Okay, that's understandable." Lianna agrees.
~
His brown eyes stare into mine as I wait for him to say something. "What did you want to talk about?" I ask him with a curious smile. "I know last week was a tad hard for you, so I got you something." He grins. "You didn't have to-" "No, I know but just enjoy it." He takes a small wrapped box from his pockets and hands it over to me. I take my eyes back to his eyes for a moment and then start to unwrap it..
a paper bird appears to be the gift, but after Hudson puts his wand on the paper bird and chanted something it starts to move. After flying in the air it suddenly starts to fall appart with small light flashes. As the broken paper bird falls into my bare hands it gently transforms into something different. A few bright flashes later I can get a glimpse of what is laying in my hands. "I got a bit of help from Lucy, because I didn't really know what kind of jewellery you like and I hope you-" "I love it, Hudson, thank you." I smile at him before giving him a hug. "You always come up with something to make me feel better, you're my best guy friend, but don't tell that to Isaac and Gus," I chuckle a bit as he laughs with me. "I won't, but I already knew that, I'm great, very lovable actually-" I give him a small push against his shoulder. "Stop it, you're ruining the moment!" He grins, "Shall I put it on for you?" I nod, "yes, please." He takes the silver bracelet from my hands and puts it arround my wrist. I thank him again with an even bigger smile. He is always there for me and I'm grateful for that. I love my friends.
Several hours have passed and I'm now strolling through the forbidden forest with Lucy. For a moment she flies around me before landing back on one of the trees. I glimpse up, because of my nightvision I can see a lot more in the dark than usual. I turn back into my natural self for a moment to yell at her, "you understand I can't climb up these large trees, come down and we can have a chat!" I chuckle a bit as she comes down in her animagus form. Just as she is about to say something we here voices coming closer. With one look at Lucy we both turn back into the animals the same as our patronus', not a moment later two figures appear in our sight. Lucy stays on my back while I get us a little closer without getting caught, curious to see who was also enjoying a midnight walk.
