"WE NEED TO TALK GUYS, CAN'T YOU SEE THIS GROUP IS FALLING APART." Says Hudson as he and August sit down. It took him a while but he got us all together. "It looks like everyone is fighting and I hate it. Oh and Luce, happy birthday." He continues while looking at the group. I laugh a bit but after I clear my throat. "Huds is right. These last few weeks we haven't been together once. I know I have been hanging out with other people and I am sorry for avoiding you." "I have been doing the same because Hudson and I were in a fight, but we fixed it yesterday and I miss my friends." Says Jo after me. "I am sorry too, I forgot our friendship when I started dating Elle and that is so wrong." It's August. I hug him a bit because he is sitting next to me. Isaac runs his hand through his hair. "I missed my friends." He sits on my other side so I hug him as well. "Pff I missed you all." Says Lianna with a smile. There is a small silence we all enjoy. "So what did I miss?" Laughs Hudson and August starts to talk.

With a smile, I look in the mirror, a beautiful young woman laughs at me. Her blonde hair comes to over her shoulders and she is wearing an old-pink cocktail dress. There are a lot of people already and everyone is having fun. My friends are a bit further, talking to each other when I see five boys walking in. "Happy birthday, Collins." Says Nate with a small grin as he arrives at me. "Thank you," I smile waiting for them to walk further. "I got you something." "Are you going to be cheesy now?" I laugh while running my hand through my hair. "No, I just made an adjustment to something that's already yours." The other boys turn away what leaves me and Nate. "Just show me." He grabs something from his robe and the next thing I see is a beautiful blue feather. It's mine. "Nate... How-" "Like I said I made an adjustment, look." He ignores my question and shows the full feather. He turned it into a quill pen. "That's amazing. Thank you." He smiles. "Just try not to lose more... Enjoy your birthday." After those words he's gone. Wait, what just happened? Three of the boys follow him and one stays with me. "Happy birthday, beautiful." I am stunned. What? "So I am going from: "you're a bitch" to "happy birthday, beautiful"? What do you want me to do? Should I go down on my knees for you now?" I say as I daringly go down a bit. He grins and from the corner of my eyes I see my friends looking at us. I stop and you up again. "You didn't seriously think it would be that easy, did you bad boy." He steps forward while his hand finds my chin and forces me to look at him. "Don't test me, Collins." "Or else," I whisper seductively. His finger goes over my lip and he grins. "You know what else." "Can't wait." I say as I grab his hand and get it off my face. He runs his hand through his hair with a smirk. "Enjoy your party, Collins." He says and after he walks away. My heart is racing moreover I shake my head for a moment.

A few hours later everyone is everywhere. I am standing at the bar with Isaac and Hudson. "Tell me, what happened with Charles?" I sigh and take a sip. "I honestly don't know." "Are you two a thing?" It's Isaac, he sounds... jealous. "No, we could never. I don't even like him." I say as I finish my drink. "So what are you guys then?" Hudson fills my cup again with a smile. "We just play this game, that's it." "That's it." We all look up, only to see Charles standing there with a grin. "Collins, walk with me." "She is not going anywhere with you." Isaac says as he stands. "Isaac, it's fine." "Yeah dude, I just want her to give her present." I give Charles a look and roll my eyes. "Sure, I will walk with you." Hudson pulls me closer. "Come back right after, I don't trust him." "I will, don't worry." I say. Charles places a hand on my back and leads me away from the boys. When they can't see us anymore he pushes me against the wall, while making sure I can't walk away. "Charles, what are you doing?" "I wanted to give you your present." He says as he comes closer. "You know what it is, don't you." "I know what you want and I don't do it." I say trying not to look at his lips. "What is it then?" He says tempting and I feel one of his hands around my waist. "I am not going to kiss you, who even gave you the idea I want that, huh?" "Kiss you, I just wanted to give you a bracelet I bought in Hogsmeade." He says as he shows me a silver bracelet. Fuck. "I think the only one who's thinking about kissing is you." His eyes go to my lips for a moment. "You sure about that, bad boy?" I whisper while looking at his' as well. Suddenly his lips are on mine and he kisses me roughly. I place my hands on his face while he pulls me closer.

After a while we both stop as we are trying to get our breathing under control. "Charles," I whisper without breath. "Happy birthday, beautiful." He says while he steps back. "I think you need to go back to your friends." He says as he pushes the bracelet in my hands "Yeah, I should...Thank you-" I walk away and I have never been so confused in my life.

I TAKE MY BOOKS IN ONE HAND AND WITH THE HELP OF MY OTHER HAND I TAKE A BITE FROM THE BROWNIE. I snicker a bit as I see how his face is covered in whipped cream. "What are you looking at?" He asks without a clue. "Nothing," I smirk as I come up straight, ready to leave. "I like your new look." He chuckles as he wipes a bit of the whipped cream off his face. "Much better," I keep on going after I start walking to the door. "Yeah?" "It looks good on you." "Mmh, yeah, would you fall for me?" He jokes while standing up. I chuckle a bit as I ignore my thoughts.

Suddenly I feel something chilly on my nose. I open my eyes again and look at him in disbelieve. "You did not." "Oh yes, I did." He grins even wider. "I would really like to throw something at you right now." I state. Without warning he takes my hand and drags me along to the first bathroom we encounter. I wipe off the whipped cream off my nose with some water. As I come up straight I see him observing me for a second. "Are you going to wipe that smudge off your face or is this your new "Hey look at me, I'm a snack, date me" look?" "No, I look ridiculous." He pushes me out of the way and cleans his face with water. I feel my self getting stuck in a stare. He's so h- "Jo, what colour should I were to Lucy's party?" "What?- Blue. I think you should wear blue, it suits you." "What are you wearing?" He asks as he look at me through the mirror before turning around to face me. I glance at his eyes and than a little further down a his lips. "White," I say direct trying to ignore his beautiful face. "Oh," Without hearing the rest of his sentance I leave the bathroom to enter the corridor.

~

I take a turn around the corner. I'm wearing a white dress with long sleeves and a bit of a V-neck. It's a nice silk shining fabric which I love. It fits my figure nicely. The sound of my heels echos through the corridor. "Jo!" I turn around startled. "Hudson." I keep on walking as he gets up to speed. "Running a bit late aren't we?" He chuckles. "We're fashionable late." I grin looking at him. "I like your suit." I compliment the boy I call my best friend. "I like your dress more, you look truly lovely." I feel a bit of blush appearing on my cheeks so I look away. "Thanks."

"Lucy!" I take the girl in my arms. She's wearing a gorgeous pink-ish dress and looks stunning. "I love your dress." I grin knowing we picked it out together in Hogsmeade at one of the fabric shops. "You look hot." She whispers in my ear. "Ain't bad yourself."

I take a sip of the drink I just got myself. I glance at Lucy who walks away from the two boys. "Hey," I say while looking at Hudson and Isaac. "I hate that guy." Isaac states. I look at the boy walking next to Lucy. "Hate is a strong word, but I do much dislike the guy." I agree with my friend. "Well let's not trouble ourselves about it and just enjoy the party." "You sound like an old man." I chuckle. "Aren't you a funny one, Merriweather." "Thank you, old man Hudson," I say with a sarcastic tone. "Well, if you boys will excuse me I'm going to the restroom. I leave the party and silence embraces me. Just as I want to take a turn around the corner I hear voices. I take a quick look and see two figures. I soon recognize the voices, one coming from my bestfriend and the other coming from the slytherin boy. They're standing very close to each other. I take this as a que to leave, not wanting to see what happens next. I take it off my mind and make my way back to the closest restroom.

One look in the mirror and I'm all fixed on my thoughts. I then glance at the silveren bracelet for a moment, I should probably take it off. Why did I even think it was about more than just a friendship. It wasn't.
