Lucy Reese Collins

A BOY PATS ON MY SHOULDER WHAT MAKES ME LOOK UP. "Lucy Collins?" He asks with a smile. "That's me," confused I glance at him. "I have this for you." He gives me a piece of paper and after he walks away. My friends look at me in curiosity. "Who is it from?" Jo asks while looking up from her DADA paper. The first one and a half week are already over. My eyes go over the letters. "Dumbledore, he wants to see me after lunch." "But it's a Hogsmeade weekend. You are supposed to go with me. Otherwise, I am going alone because Ella is sick." August whines. "I wasn't planning on going anyway. I wanted to go to him to ask where Isaac is." "Understandable," Jo says with a smile. "Jo and I will go to the three broomsticks after, maybe you can both join then." Hudson looks at me for a moment. "Sounds good."

After lunch, I make my way to the seventh floor. When I arrive at the gargoyles I look at the note Dumbledore gave me. "Butterbeer," I whisper what makes the gargoyle turn and some stairs appear. I walk upstairs and knock on the door. "Come in," says Dumbledore and I do as he says. "Ah miss Collins, sit down." He says as lighting some candles. I look at the bird next to him. A phoenix. He looks absolutely beautiful. "I am so sorry for pulling you away from your Hogsmeade trip. I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't really important." My eyes go back to the old man in front of me. "Important...? Sir, is this about my friend Isaac Murphy? Do you know why he didn't appear this year?" He sighs and points to the sofa next to me. "Sit down, Lucy." I start to get worried now. Quickly I sit down while looking at my headmaster. "I can't tell you about Isaac right now, that's not why you are here." "But you know what's going on. You have to tell me, sir. I would hate myself if I judged him while something bad was going on in his life." I say while leaning forward. I feel anxious. "Lucy...- Mister Murphy won't come back to Hogwarts..." "Why not? Did you expel him? Why?!" "You don't understand me. Isaac Murphy won't come back at all." I feel how reality slips away. A sadness goes over my heart and I breathe in sharply.

"I know you want to know how it happened and I will tell you, but again that isn't why you're here." "Tell me," I whisper trying to get my emotions under control. "I am so sorry to inform you that your mother past away this morning-" My breath stops and for a moment I can't think straight. "You're lying," I say while standing and putting my hands on the desk. "Tell me you're lying!!" I now yell. Some paintings whisper to each other but I ignore it. "Please tell me, you're lying," I whisper after. My eyes pool and tears roll down my cheek. "Lucy, your mom was really sick. It is an extraordinary illness under witches... Miss Collins where are you going?" He says when he notices how I turn around and run to the door. I open it and make my way out of the office. "Miss Collins, I need you to come back here!" In the corridors, I keep running till I am in the hall of the Room of Requirement. I start to sob while putting my hands against the wall.
