I TRY TO LAUGH AT BELLA'S JOKE BUT MY SMILE CAN'T REACH MY EYES. Cassius sits next to me and on his other side sits Charles. I still avoid him. Theo sits across the table and I can feel how tense he is. It's her birthday today and I can see how hard it is for him. I look up when I notice how a boy and a girl stop walking and get ready to sit down. "Yeah my morning wasn't any better, my mom keeps sending me letters about Keith. Don't get me wrong I love her, but-" "Can you shut up and please not be a drama queen for once?!" Theo snaps at the girl I call my best friend before walking away. She immediately wants to go after him. "Don't," I say while standing. "Mind your own business, Collins." She says angrily. Ouch, that hurts. "No, in this case, you should! This is none of your business!" I say leaning closer to her, before walking away.

I find the boy in an empty classroom only one corridor later. I heard him crying before seeing him. I don't say anything just sit down next to him and pull him against my chest. "I miss her, Luce... I miss her so much." He sobs and I pull him closer. "You should've told me...-" "I couldn't, because you had so much loss this year, I didn't want you to worry even more." I can hear the pain in his voice. "Is this the reason you didn't tell Jo?" "That and the fact that I don't know if she really wants me." "I can't help you with that, Theo... Even though I don't speak to her right now, she's still my best friend too." "I know and I don't expect you to." "You are a good best friend Theo...- And thank you for breaking Nathaniel's nose," I add what makes him laugh. "He deserved it." "I broke his nose too," I say with a smile. "I know." We sit for a while but eventually I get up. "You are coming with me, Ellington." "Tell me, why?" "Because your best friend needs to win the quidditch match against Gryffindor and you are going to support me." "How can I say no to that?" He grins and together we leave the classroom.

The match has started a long time ago and right now the score is 210-210. Everyone is tired and soaked because it's raining. I speed up as I pass the quaffle to Jo, who passes it back. I act like I want to score but throw the quaffle to Jo who finishes it. "Nice one Jo!" I yell and I give her a high five. Right after our hands touch each other, we freeze. I stare at the girl for a moment and tears pool in my eyes. I see how the same happens to her. Soon tears roll down both of our cheeks and we can't stop it.

"Jo, Lucy! Stop staring at each other and help me!" Cassius yells bringing us both back into reality. We look up and see how James throws the quaffle through one of the rings. "10 POINTS FOR GRYFFINDOR! 220-220!" I fly back to Cassius with tears in my eyes. "Look I don't care that you two have some kind of a midlife crisis right now, but I would love to win this match." "Yes, sorry," I say quickly and we continue flying. Suddenly I see Lianna speeding down and only moments later I hear: "HOWARD HAS THE SNITCH! RAVENCLAW WINS!" We all go back down and I look at the people who walk on the field. Everyone is cheering and having fun, but I can't put my head around it. Regulus, Narcissa, Bella, and Andromeda all walk towards me with a smile. "You played absolutely amazing," Reggie says as he hugs me. "When does the party start?" "I don't know ask the others." All of them look at me with a confused look on their face. "Wait, are you saying-" "I am not planning on going."
