A FEW WEEKS HAVE PASSED AND I AM SITTING IN THE GREAT HALL WHILE LISTENING TO AUGUST, who is whining about Elle, who left him. "-I mean don't get why she chose that Hufflepuff over me." "She is not worth your pain, August. Just let it go." I say while putting a cherry in my mouth, it's my favourite fruit. "I don't think you are the one to give relationship advice." Hudson laughs and he looks at Jo who is sitting on the Gryffindor table, with Lianna and the marauders. "Well, you are not doing it either, cupid." I mock him as I stick out my tongue. "What is that supposed to mean?" "That you and Jo are getting pretty serious." I laugh while exchanging a look with August. "We are serious." "So you two had sex?" August asks as he looks at Jo for a moment. "That's none of your business. Jo and I just-" "had sex." I finish what makes August giving me a high five. "Shut up, I wouldn't even dare to ask about your love life." "Speaking of which, Garfield is coming." I look up just when Charles stops walking. "What do you want?" I say cold. "A bit too chilly princess-" "Shut up." I interrupt him angrily. "You and I are going to the Yule ball tonight right?" A laugh escapes my mouth what makes my friends and Charles look at me in confusion. "Nice try, Garfield. But you and I are not going to the Yule Ball." "Cuz-?" "I already have a date... Told you I am still in the game. A lot of guys want me." He freezes for a moment. "Who is the date?" "You will find out tonight." I hiss and after I turn to Hudson. Charles takes that as his cue to leave and walks further to the Slytherin table. The other boys stand in front of the great hall and suddenly I get an idea. "I will see you in Herbology later. I need to do something." I smile at Hudson who nods and after I walk to the boys. "Good morning guys," I smirk as I arrive at Nate, Cassius, Theo and Noah.
"Morning, Luce." Theo smiles while giving Nate and Cassius a sign to leave. "What was that all about?" I ask looking at the boys in confusion. "I think they want to give me a shot." "In what?" "Asking you to the Yule. I know the whole situation you got yourself in with Charles and something tells me, going with me will be really painful for him." I grin as I realise what he's saying. "Oh my god, Noah you are absolutely amazing. Yes! I am going with you." He laughs and presses a kiss against my cheek. "Good. See you tonight, Lucy." He whispers in my ear and after he walks to his table.
That night I look at the mirror while scanning my body. The burgundy cocktail dress I am wearing is completely against the dress code, but luckily I can pin a sleeve on it. Otherwise, Dumbledore will kick me out. Jo left a bit earlier because Hudson was already waiting for her in the common room. She also looked absolutely gorgeous. I smile one last time and after I make my way downstairs.
As I arrive at the great hall I see how multiple guys turn their heads and it makes me smile. Charles walks up to me with a grin on his face, holding out his arm. "Little Lucy is all alone, luckily I am here to save you." "Oh but I am not alone," I say while pushing the boy away. "As a matter of fact, there he is." I walk away from him and arrive at Noah. "You look stunning, Luce." He smiles while licking his lips. "Thank you, handsome," I smirk and after we walk into the great hall.
