THE WHOLE SCHOOL IS DECORATED BECAUSE IT'S HALLOWEEN TODAY. I sit outside waiting for my next class. All my friends have classes right now, so I am on my own. From the corner of my eyes, I see how some people walk outside. I decide not to give them attention and continue reading a book. "Wow, you can read." I look up only to see Nathaniel and his friends. "What do you want?" I sigh as I close my book. Noah directly grabs it and looks at it. "Why are you even reading this?" "It's an extra assignment for Defense against the dark arts. I need extra points." I say while reaching out to get my hands on the book again. Noah laughs as he gives it back. "You are one of the smartest people I know, why do you need extra points?" "Because I missed a few classes last year and let's say that Flitwick wasn't happy about that."

"Merlin, I already thought you had gone soft, Collins." Says Nate as he wipes away the imaginary sweat. "Oh shut up, I would never." I grab my wand and reduce the book, before putting it in my bag. The boys sit down next to me. "So where are your friends?" Charles looks around as he is searching for them. "They have classes, it's just me for today." "Wow, your schedule really sucks then." Theodore laughs a bit. "Tell me about it, I have most classes with you." The boys take a while before they realise what I said. "Hey!" "Sorry, not sorry." I smile as I get up. "What are you going to do?" "Why would you care, Lanchester?" I chuckle as running a hand through my hair. "I don't." I think for a moment. "Hmm, you most certainly did when we were picking people for the quidditch team, didn't you?" The boys laugh and Nate rolls his eyes. "You are a good player, I can recognise that right?" "Oh of course you can." I laugh a bit. "But I got to go. I have better things today than talking to you idiots." I grin and after I walk away.

"Hurry up, Lucy the rest is waiting for us," Isaac yells as I walk downstairs into the common room. He gives me a look. "What was taking so long?" "I had to do my hair real quick." "It already looks amazing, Collins. Why change it?" Both Isaac and I turn around. "Well thank you, Cassius, but I don't know where I asked for your opinion." I roll my eyes, grab Isaacs wrist and pull him outside the common room. "I hate those guys." Isaac sighs as he runs a hand through his hair. "Tell me about it." I laugh as we walk through to corridors on our way to the great hall. "Why are you hanging out with them then?" I stop walking and look at him. "What are you talking about?" "Don't lie to me, Luce. Jo and I saw you outside this afternoon." "Then you also saw that I left like two minutes later." He stays silent. "We did, but-" "But what, Isaac. I left. We are not friends. I don't like them." "I didn't want to attack you, calm down." I roll with my eyes and start walking again. "I just don't like it when friends doubt me." "I am sorry, I know." He says while grabbing my hand to stop me. "I am sorry." "It's okay," I say and after we walk into the great hall.
