"So, Quinn, what's with you and Finn?" Mercedes smiled.
"Yeah, you've been living together for a few weeks now, right?" Tina asked.
"Finn needed a roommate, and Beth and I needed a place to stay." Quinn stated. "We're just friends."
"Friends who make googly eyes at each other." Tina noted.
"We do not." Quinn shook her head. "We're really good friends. We could never date."
"You could if you wanted to." Mercedes said. "Finn's always had a soft spot for you. And Beth."
"I'm getting a drink." Quinn decided as she got up and walked into the kitchen.
-
"Hey." Finn said as he entered the kitchen. He stood beside Quinn at the counter and looked at her. "Are you having fun?"
"Yeah, are you?" Quinn asked.
"Yeah." Finn nodded. "This year's gonna be so good."
Quinn smiled as she looked at Finn. "I hope so."
Finn smiled. "Me, too."
"I never thanked you for letting me and Beth move in with you." Quinn stated. "So thank you."
"Yeah, it's been fun so far." Finn noted.
"Yeah." Quinn agreed. She paused for a minute. "You know, everyone keeps asking me if we're together."
"What'd you tell them?" Finn wondered.
"I care about you a lot, but we're just friends." Quinn shrugged as she looked at Finn. "Right?"
"Right." Finn nodded, taking a breath. "Yeah, everybody always asks me why we're not together and I always just say we're so close so it would be weird, but... I dunno."
Quinn looked at Finn.
"Maybe it wouldn't be." Finn shrugged.
"Maybe." Quinn repeated, pausing as she looked Finn up and down. "I should get back inside."
"Y-Yeah." Finn stuttered. "Me, too."
