The Last First Day

This was to be your very last first day at UA High.

The day began much like every other first day of school that you experienced. Of course it would not have been a first day of school for you if you had not slept through your alarm. This which obviously led to you being late for school.

 But this minor incident was exactly what jumpstarted the beginning of a journey much beyond what you could ever have envisioned.

 Y/N POV-

"Ughhhh" you groaned out clenching the edges of your comforter pulling it over your head. The harsh sound of banging at your front door had  awoken you from your sleep. 'Who in the world is banging on my apartment door this early in the morning' 

You wished to continue your slumber but found yourself fully awake at the sound of your front door opening and slamming shut. Taking the covers off of your face you looked up to see who could possibly be disrupting your peaceful rest.

Your eyes squinted from the bright light emitting through your windows. Able to male out the familiar figure you saw the culprit was none other than your pink bestfriend Mina Ashido who already appeared to be ready for school.

"Y/N I CALLED YOU 17 TIMES WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR OUR LAST FIRST DAY" she yelled fully yanking the comforter off of you.

With the sound of those words resonating in your head and the sudden exposure to the cool air you jolted up.

"OH SHITTT WERE GOING TO BE LATE" 

"No duh. Why do you think I called you so many times" she taunted with a bright smile.

You completely threw the covers off of you disregarding the mess you made as you eagerly ran to your bathroom where you didn't even bother to take a shower. After quickly brushing your teeth, splashing some water on your face, and doing your hair you put on your uniform.

All the while through your struggle to get ready Mina went on about how excited she was for the last year of UA before you all would finally become heroes.

'Because being a hero is just such a dream' 

Once you finished getting dressed and nearly tripping putting on your shoes you grabbed your phone and backpack. With your phone in your clutch you glanced at the screen only to see the time causing your eyes to widen. You both were going to be late as you only had five minutes left to get to school.

'Looks like I got to do what I got to do' 

Grabbing hold of Mina's hand you dragged her out of your apartment and locked the door. "What are you doing Y/n" she questioned as you stopped only until you were out of the elevator and on the sidewalk outside of your apartment.

"Sorry Mina" you apologetically spoke as you wrapped your arms tightly around her waist.

Before she could even begin her rebuttal you heard the words "Y/n no-" as you launched into the sky. You flew the both of you all the way to school at high speed.

You withheld the fact that you would fly the both of you there because Mina didn't exactly like the heights, or at least not as high as you usually flew.

She would rather have been late than in her opinion go through the nauseating feeling of flying. With that in mind she practically clung onto you the whole way there which you didn't mind.

As you were about to land right at the front gates of the school you saw something large fly right past you and around the school in a red blur. 'What was that-'

"Mina you saw that right" you questioned looking at your bestfriend whos face was planted directly into your chest as she refused to look. 'Forget it'

You were already two minutes late and completely put the sight of the red blur at the back of your mind deciding to focus on getting to class.

Quick Authors Note-
Hey I know this chapter is super short and just wanted to let you know that it's only because when I first wrote the first 5 ish chapters I really didn't think anyone would read them so I made them short. But uh clearly that isn't the case anymore so after about 5 chapters they are way longer. And thanks for reading I really appreciate feedback and hope you enjoy the rest of this fanfic.
