My Angel [Hawks X Reader]

"Yeah you did babybird, I knew you could" he stated while you both looked at a long sword bright in between both of your hands.

"What do I do now" you questioned looking over at Hawks. With the illuminating white light reflecting off of his face all of his features were highlighted. You could even see his expression changing as he final came out and said "Now you control it".

"Okay" you responded dispersing the sword. "Now practice that 200 times" he grinned facing you. "Huh" you expressed with a stoic countenance."I want you to draw your sword and disperse it 200 times. In the meanwhile I will go check on your companions" he smirked.

You rolled your shoulders back rotating your neck as you prepared to begin the process. "200 times" you remonstrated sitting on the floor with your legs crossed over one another. "Be back soon babybird" Hawks announced exiting the room.

You began your task focusing all of your energy on concentrating the light into the generating the sword, over, and over again. It had been over an hour and you had only created the sword 97 times.

"Do it 200 times" you said mocking Hawks voice. "My voice is definitely a bit deeper" Hawks jeered as he entered the room. "How's it going" he asked sitting infront of you. "How does it look like its going" you remarked looking up at him.

"Well you do look like shit" he teased, "Oh shut up" you said lightly pushing him. "This is harder than just pulling out some feathers from your wings and calling it a day, it takes a lot of energy which is why I always just stuck to daggers".

"You are probably right, but what's a little challenge" Hawks stated grabbing hold of his chin. You scoffed as Hawks continued "What number are you on" he questioned.

"97 and now 98" you huffed as you brought out and dispersed another sword. "Kind of slow" Hawks thought out loud. "I am trying" you snapped back as you felt a headache coming on. "Oh no no I know you are it's just you actually should be going faster, it's strange" he said back to you. "Strange how" you queried, "Strange as in something must be blocking you not here but in here" he said gesturing to your hands and the pointing to your head.

"How should I unblock" you asked eagerly, "I don't know, I didn't think that far" he sighed. You huffed as you both sat there in an uncomfortable silence for a good minute. "Is there anything that's been bothering you lately" he questioned.

"Not really" you remarked, "Are you sure" he probed pushing for an answer. "Well I worry about Mina and that dumbass Bakugo especially with his fucking temper. He is always up to some shit and I know he doesn't want me worrying about him but I can't help him he's one of the only things I have le-"

You abruptly stopped speaking as you looked up to Hawks who was looking at you with furrowed eyebrows. "Sorry I was rambling", "Oh no, not that continue I want to hear the rest" he said softening his gaze on you. You continued "So I can't help but worry about him and the there's Aizawa sensei and Eri too she's such a bundle of joy I mean seriously refreshing to be around. I love the both of them and she is just growing up so fast it's hard to keep track, and then there's us and my fri-".

This time Hawks had cut you off "US" he commented almost in shock as you would mention the two of you. "You know me and you" you said slightly uncomfortable as you tried not to make things akward.

"Would you mind elaborating on that" he smirked putting both arms on his knees as he rested his head on his hands. "Sure, well there's me and then there's you. And you know stuffff" you speculated.

"Are you referring to the time I literally railed you, or when I asked what we were" Hawks questioned nonchalantly slightly turning his head but not raising it. "Well yeah both I guess" you said scratching the back of your head as you looked everywhere but him continuing to avoid his eye contact. "Okay continue" Hawks insisted, "I mean you know that I like you and that happened after the ball, and then when we went patroling".
