My Angel [Hawks X Reader]

You woke up from the feeling of your body being lifted. Opening your eyes you looked up to see Hawks looking down at you. "Hey there babybird" he said in a soothing tone as he continued to carry you to the bathroom.

"What are you doing" you whispered as you rested your head on him. "You did so good kid so I ran a bath for you, I know you must be really tired" he sighed before stopping. You looked over to see a bubble bath with roses and candles lit all around. "You didn't have to do this" you said as Hawks took two large steps into the tub.

"I wanted to plus you probably can't walk right now so at least let me do this for you" he responded as he slowly sat down in the tub gently putting you in the water as he let you go from his arms.

You leaned back on Hawks as you put your arms on top of his with your hands intertwined. This right here is what you wanted your whole life. Someone who would be there for you no strings attached. To have someone love you without wanting anything in return. You always had Bakugo but this was different.

'Am I actually happy, is this what being happy is like. I wish this could last forever' you thought, but your thoughts were suddenly interupted by Hawks voice. "Come on babybird we still have to go on patrol tommorow so you can rest up after your clean" Hawks said as he sat you up.

He started rubbing some soap on you and washing off your body with the warm water  from the tub. Hawks was humming something that soothed you as he continued to wash your body.

Until he stopped when he reached a bruised part of your body that you didn't even notice before. You winced from the unexpected shock from your shoulder causing Hawks to frantically turn you around facing him and say "Are you okay where are you hurt". Finally noticing the bruise on your shoulder in a lower voice he quickly looks down and says "Did I do that, did I hurt you". 

Almost looking disappointed in himself you quickly interjected grabbing the sides of his face making him look at you as you raised his head "No no no I'm fine it's just a little bruise I'll be ok".

Hawks then grabbed your wrist while you hands were still holding his face and looked into your eyes. "Y/n I never want to hurt you, honestly I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you" he professed. "Keigo I know you'd never purposefully hurt me and I didn't notice the bruise either it doesn't hurt that much." you consoled trying to make him feel better.

He gave a small smile "How about this just as a sort of safeguard. We come up with a safe word so that if anything ever happens or if I do anything ever that hurts you we can use that.".

"You know what I like that idea what would you suggest" you asked smiling back at him. "What about chicken I like chicken" Hawks said with a brighter smile. "Hawks you say chicken too much for it to be used as a safeword". "Whatever" he pouted. "How about lapis like the gem", he devised. "Lapis I like it" you grinned.

"You know you remind me of a lapis. Did you know that the gem used to be so valuable that at one point they were more wanted than gold as it's rarity made it that much more precious" He said gazing into your eyes. "So the bird man knows something other than chicken I really like it now" taunted.

"Oh quit it" Hawks laughed as he splashed water in your face. "Now you've done it" you said as you used your quirk to create a ball of water from the bath and dropped it right on top of his head. "No fair" he said whining as he plopped his hand in the water making a splash. Once you stopped laughing you were left with a slight smile on your face as you looked down at the water that still had roses floating on top.

"What's wrong" Hawks said looking down at you. You looked back up at him with your faces inches apart and said. "Arigato Keigo watashiwa- wa- ... aishiteru".

He gave a big smile and said "I love you too Y/n". He gave you a kiss on your forehead. "Come on let me rinse you off it's past your bedtime kid" he said as he got on his knees adjusting you. "Shut up Keigo I'm too old for a bedtime" you responded while he started rinsing you.

"Really because last time I checked not to long ago you were fast asleep on that bed" he smirked. "Well I was tired but still" you said as he finished rinsing you down and stood up. He picked you up saying "Whatever you say babybird".

Hawks got his feathers to bring over a towel and swaddled you, carrying you to the bathroom counter. Setting you down he went through the drawers and found some of your favorite lotion his people bought when you got there. While he was rubbing your body with the lotion you couldn't help but look at Hawks wondering how you managed to get someone so kind to fall in love with you. 

"All done songbird, time to brush your teeth" Hawks said as he put away the lotion. Grabbing your toothbrush he out toothpaste on it and right as he was about to put it in your mouth you stopped him. "You know I might not be able to walk right now but I can brush my own teeth" you smirked. "I know I just don't care" he said as he put the toothbrush in your mouth.

You'd think someone who was just so aggressive wouldn't be able to be this gentle but Hawks was full of surprises. He was so focused brushing your teeth and tongue making sure he didn't miss any part and even got a cup so you could rinse your mouth.

Once he had finished he picked you up once again and sat you down on the bed. He went through your drawers and picked out a large t-shirt that was practically a dress on you and panties that matches the color of the shirt.

He helped you put on your pajamas and was extra careful around your wings making sure not to hurt you. After he helped you get dressed he tied your hair back into a bun for you ever so gently and with a sigh of relief said "done".

"Thanks" you said softly as you looked up at him. "Never a problem" he responded kissing your cheek. Just as you were about to lay down he said "Not yet kid" and carried you once again.

Taking you out of your room and onto the elevator you looked up at him and said "Where are we going Keigo". "My room" he responded smiling before looking back up. Once you reached the door of his room Hawks used one of his feathers to open the door and then closed it locking it.

"Here" Hawks said as he was looking straight at something. "What is it" you said lifting your head trying to see. "Whoa" you said as you were looking out a large balcony window where you could see the whole city. "And I thought I had a good view from my room" you said as you looked down at the glimmering lights from the city and up at the bright stars in the sky.

"Its-" "perfect" Hawks said finishing your statement as turned to look up at him looking down at you. "Come on Babybird like I said big day tomorrow" Hawks then put you the side of his bed closest to the window as he tucked you in.

He walked over to the other side and got in the bed covering the both of you. He took his arm and put it under you head while wrapping his arms around you. He kissed your forehead and whispered "goodnight Y/n" as you drifted off into sleep with the warmth of his body surrounding you.
