A Descent Into Purgatory part III

Hawks POV-

I continued walking to the exit only to find myself stopping right in front of the doors. 'Dammit that jackass sure knows how to get into my head'  I mentally groaned shoving my hands into my pockets as I turned right back around.

"Room seven" I huffed out standing in front of the door. I opened the door immediately meeting the eyes of Kimiko Furukawa. She's an older woman, the head of the Public Safety Commissions, one of the higher ups, the woman who helped raise me and more importantly my boss.

I closed the door and promptly bowed. "Chief Executive Officer Furukawa to what do I owe the honor"

"Keigo" she greeted earnestly looking back down at a stack of papers in the table.

'Fuck she's mad isn't she that sounds like her lecture voice'  I mentally hissed standing back up straight.

"What did I tell you about your hands in your pockets" she scolded glancing at me and then looking straight back at a file on the table.

"My bad" I mumbled taking my hands out of my pockets. 'You'd think I'm old enough for her to stop pestering me'

"Keigo tell me what exactly have you been doing for two weeks" she questioned shutting the file on the table loud enough to create a slamming sound.

"What I usually do you know patrol, interning, the works" I smirked trying to ease the growing tension, only to meet imminent failure.

"I don't find any of this funny. Starting from around two weeks ago you were late to patrol three days in a row. I know because we have your sighting reports of you across town which I coincidentally discovered is the same area F/n L/n lives in. Such a coincidence" she imparted crossing her legs as her clasped hands laid in her lap.

"Well actually I can explain tha-"

"I wasn't finished you know not to interrupt me." She rebuked now looking directly at me. I remained quiet as she continued.

"One of those nights I was told you never returned to your home. Going on to your internship with the U.A. students you apparently left two of said interns at your office two days in a row, just wow. The first day you were spotted at a carnival with Ms. L/n and not only that the second day you took Ms. L/n to the annual hero gala jeopardizing the safety, privacy, and reputation of your fellow heroes.

And while the last day of your internship your entrants were a smashing success in the eyes of the media, the exact same night we have footage of two of them in an 18 and up club. While being the son of Endeavor may have saved the first ones back, his companions not so much.

How did you allow one of your interns to be kidnapped?

Nonetheless you know what my favorite part of the video is though? It's the part where hero Hawks lashes out at civilians and tells them they are all susceptible to questioning by the police on a kidnapping none of them were aware of. Spreading both panic and fear.

To top it all off Hawks in the last two days I've been told you never returned home, you never went to any of your patrols, and you missed multiple mandatory meetings. You can't just go dark for two days and not expect me to show up.

Insubordinate, unrestrained, errant, careless, Keigo I need you to explain yourself" she seethed sitting back up straight.

"Yes ma'am everything you said is true but only partially. My interns were all doing important work even if I wasn't present. The missing day was me addressing an issue with one of them, Y/n. If you would just try and understand I am an adult and should be able to live my life as I choose. I apologize for missing patrol and the meetings but you see Y/n-"
