I Am Who I Am

HAWKS POV-

I didn't know what to say I was stunned. My mouth was open but I couldn't form any words, at least none that would have any significance to her. Y/n had been through so much and no one knew. I almost wish I didn't ask making her relive those feelings.

Right in front of me saw her pain and anger turn into numbness and I don't know what to do.

'I have to say something at least',

"Y/n I-" before I could finish she cut me off standing up spreading out her now vibrant wings. Standing in front of me she peered over me

"I don't need your pity, I'm no ones victim the past is in the past and I am who I am now because of it, for better or for worse" she declared.

Her courage and assertion was beyond me I had no words but as she started to walk away tucking in her wings that went back to a light blue and grabbing her backpack I knew I had to do something. Without even giving her a chance to step out of the classroom I grabbed her wrist

"Y/n" I called out which caused her to flinch and pull out a hikari dagger holding it to my throat. I was shocked but when I looked down at her I could see the fear in her eyes and quickly let go of her wrist as she dispersed the dagger.

"Y/n I'm sorry but I still would like you as an intern". I continued to look down at her e/c eyes, and tucked a loose strand of her h/c hair behind her ear. "Not everyone is as strong as you so maybe your the hero or at least the type of hero people need, at least think about it" I insisted.

She looked down, tightening her grip on the straps of her backpack. But, she quickly loosened her hands looking up at me. Giving me two quick pats on my cheek she said "I'll think about it" and then walked away.

Y/N POV-

I left Hawks walking towards the cafeteria as already half of my lunch time had passed. I pulled out my phone unlocking it only to see a bunch of texts from the group chat.
