"So Ms. Y/n L/n it seems you have decided to turn yourself in" the older man spoke, his voiced laced with sarcasm.

"Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure to 'turn myself in', it would have to indicate that I have done something wrong or illegal. And last time I checked, I haven't done either, Captain" you taunted mocking his sarcastic tone.

He sat down with an airy chuckle as he dropped a clipboard from his grasp down on the table letting out an attention grabbing noise. "Yet here you are" he bantered settling his sharp, more green than hazel eyes on yours.

You slightly squirmed under his gaze knowing he was examining you, your body language, what you would say, and how you would say it. You leaned forward sliding the pen and notepad from in front of you to across the table placed directly in front of the man making one of his eyebrows arch up in question.

Leaning back you intertwined your fingers with one another as you placed your arms on the table. "Let's get this over with, alright" you said looking at him dead in the eyes once again, nearly challenging him.

Nearly being the key word, "Pretty sure that was supposed to be my line" he quipped placing a hand over the notebook and sliding it closer to himself. He picked up the pen as you watched him prepare his list of questions.

"Can you tell me your full name" he began, "Y/n L/n" you responded. "Date of birth" he trailed off with a barrage of questions. "-And now tell me, why did you run away" he said blankly, his voice void of any sense of actual care.

"I didn't run away" you refuted sitting up slightly straighter. 'Is this necessary' He raised an eyebrow again his lower face not visible to you but for the first time since you first met him his eyes trailed to yours again. "Is that so" he said tauntingly, "Yes".

"Then why did you leave the hospital in uproar? Why did you leave before proper evaluation? Why did you leave before any of my officers could give a proper investigation? What exactly are you hiding?" he unwaveringly questioned waiting expectingly for you to answer. "I didn'-", "Didn't what" he interrupted. "I just had some things to figure out" you spoke truthfully.

"Figure out what" he ridiculed, "It doesn't matter" you scoffed avoiding his gaze. 'What sort of investigation is this'. "What doesn't matter Y/n. I'll ask you again what are you hiding" he scrutinized you. "Nothing, I'm not hiding anything" you replied growing more irritated by the moment. "Then why did you run" he probed raising his voice.

"BECAUSE ITS WHAT I DO" you lashed out only to feel immediate regret. "It's what you do-", he repeated, "-elaborate on that", he clicked his pen out yet again.

"Things get hard sometimes and it can be suffocating, so I just leave. Not to run away but to just- to have a breather" you divulged hoping he wouldn't push any farther on the subject.

"Okay then" he said jotting something down, "And what exactly did you do during this 'breather'" he questioned looking up to you for a moment. "I was just around-", you lied, "-it's not like I had anywhere to go" you finished. 'He can't know Todo was involved''

"And where was around? We didn't pick you up on any of our surveillance cameras so you were obviously hiding somewhere" he said finally dropping his notepad and pen. "Look I'm not familiar with this area, if I kept a low profile it was for obvious reasons." you hinted towards your ever growing popularity as a hero and abductee.

"Fine" the man shrugged with a faint smirk clearly aware that it wasn't the truth. "Tell me this Y/n, and don't lie" he deadpanned, "Are you working with the League".

You snapped. "What did you just ask me" you snarled jumping up from your chair as you slammed your hands down on the table in front of you. Within a moment notice the door swung open with various officers filling the room, surrounding you as the man sat unfazed.
