3 MONTHS LATER

"Pumasok sa eskinita" bulong ni Nexus sa earpiece habang sinusundan ang lalaking nakacoat na naglakad papunta sa madilim na eskinita. 

"Hindi ba ako pupunta diyan?" nagtitimping tanong ni Gemina hawak ang kanyang dalawang espada.

"No" striktong sagot ni Salve habang seryosong nakatingin sa monitor. "Linus, camera 4"

Napunta ang camera sa isang angle kung saan nakita ang isang babaeng nakahoodie na naglalakad papasok sa madilim na eskinita.

Napatigil ang lalaking nakacoat sa dulo ng eskinita dahil wala na siyang madaanan. Ngumisi naman siya at humarap sa babaeng sumunod sa kanya.

"Brave of you to come here, mortal." nangungutyang sabi ng lalaking nakacoat at pinakita ang kanyang mga pangil.

"It's a trap" natatarantang sabi ni Linus. "Nexus stand by"

"Wag na" sabi ni Salve. Napatingin naman silang lahat sa kanya na nakahalukipkip na nakatingin sa monitor. "She can handle that."

"Are you lost? mortal?" nangungutya niyang tanong pero nanatiling walang emosyon ang babaeng nakahoodie at nakatingin lang derecho sa kanya.

Di nagtagal ay nagkaroon ng gulat na ekspresyon ang lalaki nang makilala ang mukha ng babaeng nasa harap niya.

"You" bulong ng lalaki "you are the what the rumors say among werewolves. Ano nanaman ang kailangan mo sa akin? wala akong kinalama--"

Hindi na naituloy ng lalaki ang sasabihin niya nang hinawakan ng babae ang magkabilang parte ng kanyang ulo, extracting information from his memories pero napatigil ito at pabagsak na binaba ang kanyang mga kamay pagkatapos ay tumingin sa CCTV at umiling.

Napasapo sa noo si Salve dahil sa nangyari. Binalik ng babae ang kanyang tingin sa lalaking nakacoat at nakatulala sa kawalan.

"You did not see me. You will warn the sons of Lycaon and tell them, tell them I'm coming for your king. Your gods can't help you anymore."

Matapos ang ilang minuto ay bumalik na sa van ang babae at binaba ang kanyang hoodie. Halatang dismayado siya at pabagsak na umupo sa tabi ni Vetto na humihilik at sinusulatan ng mukha ni Jacob, ang batang lalaking niligtas nila sa Hope Orphanage. Hanggang ngayon, hindi pa nila alam kung kaninong anak ang bata, not until his powers manifests when he turns 8. 

"Pang-ilan na natin 'to ngayon araw. Nahihilo na ako" sabi ni Lucy at sumandig sa bintana. Lumapit si Salve sa kanya at inabutan siya ng tubig na tinanggap naman niya.

"I just hope Aldous finds information. Hindi natin malalaman kung nasaan si Lycaon at kung sino ang nag-utos sa kanya para gawin iyon."

Di nagtagal ay dumating si Aldous na nakangisi, dala-dala ang isang envelope.

"I found a lead. 20 miles in the west. An oracle lives there."

Nabuhayan ng loob ang magkakagrupo at mabilis na isinara ang van at pinaharurot ito.

No matter how many times they break, no matter how many times they need to get up, they will do it. They will do anything to avenge their lost friend. They will do anything  to fight.

Even if it means, becoming villains in the eyes of heroes.

Then there comes the demigods. A blood of human and ichor, young children with superhuman abilities and sometimes extraordinary capabilities. Children of gods and mortals, fruit of love and war. Children mostly heroes, and children mostly forgotten and abandoned. The rise of rebellion, the fight for a brighter tomorrow. 

And finally, the girl with all the gifts. The mortal girl with ichor in her blood. The prophecy, the hope and the threat.

I finally finished the first book! I have so much mixed emotions right now huhu. First of all, I want to thank the people who supported and read the first book. We are not at the beginning of another season but the date of the novel is yet to be released since I will be working with stand alone novels.

We all have things we want and things we need to fight for. We all have weaknesses and strengths. Sometimes, when the past hurts and even the future is not looking good, always stand up and fight and then one day, after a a very long night, Day will break and light will come.
