ATHENAS POV.
Running through the dull white halls of the mafias medical, the three of us finally found a reception desk.
"Gianni Lombardi." Gio slammed his hand down on the wood making the woman jump.
As she looked up her face full of annoyance quickly faded into fear, pointing a shaking finger down the hall she quickly answered.
"Room E46. Third door to the left."
I didn't know Gio was that scary jeez.
It didn't take us any more than a second to take off down the hall.
Making it to door, the boys were to distracted to noticed that I was snatched to the side.
With my reflexes kicking in, I knocked the person to the ground. I looked down and saw a man dressed head to toe in black with a ski mask on. All I could see were his red eyes, which were no doubt contacts.
Who the hell?
Just as I was about to grab the dagger from my boot I heard my name being called from behind me,
"Athena!" I quickly peeked over my shoulder to see my Dad and Dante rushing down the hall.
Turning my attention back to the mystery guy I saw nothing.
He's gone.
Who the fuck was that?
When they reached me Dad grabbed my hand, "Are you okay."
I looked from him back to the spot, "I- um." I shook my head. "Uhh- I think we should check the-"
"Guys hurry up!" Elias ran out the room and looked at us.
"Come on."
Dad pulled me into Giannis room and I saw him sat on the hospital bed with a stitch in his shoulder.
"Giovanni, if he was shot in the shoulder why the hell where you driving like he was dying?" I looked at him like he was an idiot.
"Hey! It's not my fault Adriano texted me 'Gianni was shot.' and nothing else!"
"Don't try to pin this on me!" Adriano argued.
There's no time for this.
"SHUT UP!"
I looked over to Gianni, "Now tell us what happened."
☆
"So you didn't see the shooter?" Dante asked.
"No."
"That was obviously a sloppy shot." Giovanni added, the other brothers nodded in agreement.
"No it wasn't." Dad and I said in unison.
He knew?
He's the fucking Don, you think he didn't know.
Jeez. No need for the hostility.
"What do you mean?" Gianni asked.
I looked at dad in a way of saying 'am I taking this one or are you?'. He looked at me and tilted his head in my direction.
Oh I guess I get to.
Walking up to Giannis shoulder I looked at where the stitches were located again. Yup. "Where Gianni was shot wasn't sloppy. The exact area the bullet hit avoids anything vital. Of course there are other places on the shoulder that are the same way, but the chance of shooting that exact point as a 'sloppy shot' is close to none." I shrugged and walked back over to Dad,
