Jasper babbled and cooed with awe as he stared up at the lights of the Christmas tree, my grandfather holding him and waving a gingerbread cookie in front of him.
After Jasper's first month, Mal talked to me about maybe having a happy Christmas for him this year. She was a little nervous on asking, considering the day before Christmas it pretty much the day I "died", and add the fact that December is the month of that party.
In other words, its been a long time since anyone here's had a good holidays.
Even though I was scared, I actually agreed that maybe it was time to do something different this year for the holidays, and so we voted on a Christmas party with our family and closest friends.
So Mal and I decided to decorate the house, me and the guys going to the woods nearby for a tree to decorate (resulting in Vince currently sporting a cast and boot on his leg.... It was a liiiiittle funny....).
The tree looked really great, decorated in lots of stars, tinsel, lights, candy canes, bells and other stuff, smelling of pine and some rosemary leaves Mal stuck between the pine branches, saying it was something she remembered her grandmother doing once when she was a little girl, and right now was piled up reaching halfway up the tree with presents, most of them for Jasper. Its a definite upgrade from the shitty little Christmas tree decorated with needles and empty beer cans back in the old days.
The house was also decorated in tinsel, garland, sashes, ornaments lights and more, practically almost looking like Santa Claus's workshop or something.
Jack even wore an elf costume for dogs that Tommy found for him, even though he pretty much tore the hatto shreds.
We cooked some dishes, but everyone also bought food as well, my grandfather making meatballs and some other dishes that were Nona's recipes to bring.
We did allow some alcohol for those who did drink, but we have an enforced rule:
If you're hammered, you're spending the night here, and we're hiding your car keys until the next morning.
I couldn't help but smile as I watched everyone enjoying themselves, and then I suddenly felt arms around me and looked, seeing Mallory smiled up at me.
She wore a sparkly red cocktail dress and I matched her with a red shirt, Jasper wearing a litter red plaid outfit Heather bought him along with 20 other outfits, (The boy only just turned 3 months a week ago and he's already got all the ladies falling for him... I'm so proud.....).
"Someone got caught," she sung with a playful smirk as she motioned up above us.
I looked at her weird before looked up and sighed with a laugh.

"Come here, you..." I smiled, pulling her close by her waist and then pressed my lips against her's.
She wrapped her arms around my neck as she deepened the kiss.
