The event started, pero ramdam ko na ang pawis na namumuo sa nuo at likod ko.

Muli akong napaigtad ng maramamdaman ang kamay ni Zanth sa likod ko. "Can you stop touching my back?"

"Nope...ayos kalang?" Lumayo ako ng kaunti at saka ko hinawakan ang braso ko. "You look tired. Pahinga ka muna, ilang oras kanaring naglalakad-lakad."

"I can't rest okay? Look, lahat ng workers ko ay nagtatrabaho pa."

Hinawakan niya ang magkabilang braso ko. "It's already 2AM, pwede kang magpahinga." Umiling ako.

"Magpapahinga lang ako kapag nagpahinga na sila."

"But--"

"No buts..go back to your spot Mr. Suarez."

"Pwede bang wag kang maging formal?"

"Go back to your spot." Bumuntong hininga siya at naglakad na palayo sakin. Hinawakan ko ang batok ko.

"Oy" tumingin ako sa mga kaibigan ko.

"Hmm?"

"Kumuha ng isang room si Gil, nakita kasi niyang mukhang pagod ka kaya ikaw nalang muna daw sa room mo." Ngumiti ako at hinawakan kamay ni Nikolle.

"Thank you.." ngumiti siya at tinap ang ulo ko.

"Mukha kang pagod. Pahinga ka." Umiling ako at ngumiti sakaniya.

"Nope..papahinga lang ako kapag nakapagpahinga na lahat. Isang oras nalang naman." Bumuntong hininga siya.

"Basta..magpahinga ka." Tumango ako at bumitaw na sakaniya.

Magkasunod na malalim na paghinga ang ginawa ko. "Ikamamatay ko ata tong work nato." Umiling ako saka lumapit sa table ng mga manunulat.

"Miss. Ava!" Naramdaman ko ang kamay na yumakap sa bewang ko ng mahilo ako. Mahigpit akong kumapit sa kamay niyon at pilit na tumayo.

"Let's go to your room." Umiling ako habang nakapikit. I no longer insisted on staying at the event because I did not feel good, I just felt that he was already carrying me and walking somewhere but I ignored that. I leaned my head on his chest then closed my eyes tightly because of the dizziness I was feeling.

I woke up in an unfamiliar room, I immediately sat down and looked around the room. Then I slapped my forehead realizing I was not at my home. I lay down again and stared at the light bulb.

"Teka?" I reached for my cellphone that I saw on the table then looked at the time. my eyes widened. "12:35?!"

"Ava-- what the fuck?!" Zanth immediately turned around when he saw me, I was embarrassed and wrapped myself in a comforter.

"Okay, you can look." he looked and swallowed.

"Don't undress without you in the bathroom." he is not looking at me, his eyes are on tv and he looks miserable. Out of embarrassment I lay down and rolled around on the bed.

"Wala kang damit dito sa bahay ko-"

"What?!" I sat down and my eyes widened looking at him. I tightened my grip on the comforter and swallowed repeatedly.

I got up and walked to the balcony to see if what he was saying was true. Once again I was stunned to see the hotel so far away from where I was staying.

I confronted him. "The distance from your house to your hotel is....far." tumango siya.

"Here.."he handed me a gray tshirt and a bag I did not know what was in it. "That stuff is your undergarments. I just got that from your friend."
