Eliza started going back to school. Peggy agreed to move back in with their father for a few weeks. Eliza needed some alone time. You think this situation is awkward? Just remember that Laurens and James Reynolds are roommates.

"Right." Laurens sighed when he went back into the dorm.

"This is awkward." James replied.

"Ya think?" Laurens asked sarcastically. "I think I'll just go back home for a few weeks." He grabbed a duffle bag and stuffed a few things in it before turning to leave. "Thank you so much for making your girlfriend try and seduce my brother!" He called out as he left.

Laurens walked down the hallway and bumped into James Madison.

"Well, if it isn't the little runaway. Was the second time better than the first?" He teased.

"Leave me alone James."

"Oh, are you upset because you don't have a girlfriend to fight your battles anymore?" James laughed. Aaron Burr was with him and started laughing.

"Are you implying you got beat up by my girlfriend?" Laurens chuckled.

"Oh shut up! She's your ex anyway." Madison spat.

"Just leave me alone." Laurens mumbled and kept walking. Aaron laughed and stuck his foot out making him trip. Laurens fell down straight onto his ribs. He let out a whimper and held his ribs with his good arm. "Come on man. You know my ribs are broken."

"Must've slipped my mind." Madison laughed. "Watch your mouth next time!"

Laurens just jumped back up and ran away. This had been the worst month of his life. Not to mention the fact that Christmas was in a few days. That would be fun. He hailed a cab and went to the Washington house.

"Laurens?" Martha answered the door.

"I need a place to crash for the rest of the week." He stated. "I forgot my roommate is the one who started all of this."

"Of course dear." Martha smiled. "Come on in. George went to the store but will be home soon."

"Thanks." John smiled. He walked in and sat down on the couch, still rubbing his ribs from earlier.

"Do you want to talk about everything that's happening?"

"It's just... this all started with the fact that Peggy doesn't love me anymore. Then, Alexander secretly had been dating my roommates girlfriend and the mother of his child. Then there was the blackmail and the Reynolds Pamphlet. Now... life is just weird. Like I don't know what to do anymore." Laurens explained. "And I can't talk to Alexander about any of this because, well... yeah."

"I'm sorry sweetie. I was very disappointed when I heard what Alex did. But you can't let what he did effect your life. You make the choices and choose your fate." Martha replied.

"Thanks. I really needed wisdom right now." Laurens joked.

"Well, I am the wisest woman in the city." She joked back. "But I'll always be here for you."

Eliza had been keeping a distance from most people. The only person she really let see herself, was Laurens. Sometimes Angelica. Alexander gave her some space, but missed her with all of his heart and regretted everything he had done. Both to Eliza, and to Maria. He wanted to make it up to Eliza, no matter what he had to do. Everyday, he went on a walk by  himself. Through the park, spending hours just sitting on a park bench in the garden. Enjoying the quiet. He was currently doing this, Eliza found out about it the other day.
She sat in her dorm trying to study, but had too much on her mind. She got a text from Angelica on their sister group chat.

Work, work, Angelica!❤: Hey, I know that now is not really the best time. But I need to call you, and you need to answer.
Work, work, Eliza!💙: Ok.
Work, work, Angelica!❤: And Peggy needs to hear too.
Work, work, Eliza!💙: WHY?
AndPeggy!💛: Please Eliza.
Work, work, Angelica!❤: You'll understand in a minute. But this is something I have to tell you, I can't text you this.
Work, work, Eliza!💙: Fine!

Angelica Skyped the two other girls and also added her father. John Church was with her on her screen.

"Ok, here we go!" Angelica took a deep breath. "I know the timing is kinda weird, but.... me and John Church are getting married."

"WHAT!?!?!?" Philip blurted out.

"Oh my gosh!" Eliza smiled. It was the first time Ange had seen her sister smile in awhile.

"Angie and Johnny, sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!!" Peggy teased.

"When did this happen?" Philip was still shocked. Not knowing if he should be happy or upset. Being a protective dad and all.

"Today. We want to get married next year. Maybe in the spring or summer." Angelica cheered, John hugged her as she did.

"How did he propose?" Eliza asked.

"We went to dinner, he had taken me to a five star restaurant. And he hid the ring in a little cake he got me. It was so sweet." Angelica explained. "I panicked when she almost put it in her mouth, thinking it was fake." John laughed while Angelica held her finger up to show them the ring.

"Dang girl!" Peggy exclaimed. "How much did that cost?"

"I don't know. I asked him earlier, but he said he didn't want me to know. He probably knew I would feel bad about him spending all he did on me. Especially since I would have excepted a plastic ring if it meant we could spend the rest of our lives  together." Ange gleamed with joy.

They talked for a little while more, making sure that her father approved. Then Angelica asked everyone to leave but Eliza. Even John left the room.

"Eliza? I know that you miss Alexander." She began. "I know that Alexander misses you. I know that he has been in the most depressed state of his life without you. I know you needed your space, but if you want to get me a wedding gift? I just want the two of you to be happy again."

"Ange, he hurt me!" Eliza complained.

"I know. But I know that when you were with him... I hadn't seen you that happy since Mom died." Ange saddened.

Eliza was silent for a moment. She knew it was true. She knew she still loved him. Some how, she still loved him.

"So?" Angelica asked.

~Time skip~

Alexander was still in the park. He had been tearing up at the thought of never being with Eliza again. He loved her so much and would do anything to fix what he had done. He was so upset that he didn't notice when Eliza came and sat next to him.

"It's quiet uptown." She said in a soft, smooth tone. He missed her sweet voice.

"I never liked the quiet before." Alexander whispered softly. She took his hand in hers.

"I forgive you." She let out a tear. "I don't know how, but I'm still in love with you."

Alexander didn't know what to say. The best thing he could imagine at that moment was her saying that. That she still loved him. Instead of using words he leaned over and embraced her in his arms. She did the same.

"I promise. I will never keep any secrets from you ever again." Alexander whimpered. "I will never risk losing you ever again."

"You better. I don't think I could take this again." Eliza said with tears still in her eyes.

"I will. I love you so much." He tried to calm down but was so overwhelmed. "I'm gonna get a part time job and start saving for us to have a life together."

"Ok," Eliza smiled. "That would be nice."

Alexander grabbed her hand and pulled out a marker from his backpack. "May I?"

She nodded and he drew another ring around her finger, then she did the same.

"I love you Elizabeth Schuyler."

"Elizabeth Hamilton."

"Right. I love you Elizabeth Hamilton."

"I love you Alexander Hamilton!"
