A/N: yeah, I'm back. And so are my children. Thanksgiving? Think of all that could happen here! 😈

Peggy and her family usually had Thanksgiving dinner earlier in the day. It was more of a Thanksgiving lunch, and it made it easier for Peggy and Eliza to get to go to Thanksgiving dinner at the Washington house. The whole Schuyler family sat around the dining table. Including Kitty and her parents. Stephen the stupid was there as well. No one was really sure why. I'm not sure myself. But it will cause drama, so he's there.

"Peggy darling." Kitty said. "I was so worried when I heard you were in a car accident."

"Yes. My car is actually still in the shop." Peggy stated blankly.

"Oh, we were all just devastated to find out. I'm so glad you're ok." Kitty said like she was in a drama class or something.

"We truly were." Her grandfather chimed in with more true sympathy.

"Well thank you." Peggy replied.

"What actually happened to you anyway?" Aunt Catherine asked.

"Umm, me and my boyfriend..." Stephen cringed at her words. "...were driving to go out. We were at an intersection that a drunk driver also happened to be at. At the exact same time too. He just came out of no where and hit us." Peggy explained.

"Were you injured?" Catherine asked worriedly.

"Yeah, I got a cool scar though. Something bad that makes other girls jealous." Peggy turned to look at Kitty who was bending a fork.

"What happened to your boyfriend?"

"Oh, he almost died." She said way too casually. "But he's ok now. His parents are taking care of him."

"Fake parents." Stephen whispered to himself.

"That boy is a jinx." Mr. Schuyler mumbled.

"It was not his fault, Grandfather." Peggy protested.

"Come on Peg, don't you think it's strange that ever since you and him got together that bad things have been happening all the time?"

Peggy thought for a minute. She couldn't really deny it. In a way, it was completely true. No matter how much she wanted to protest against her grandfather's words, she couldn't come up with any of her own.

After dinner? Lunch? After food time, Stephen stopped Peggy for a moment and pulled her off into another room.

"Stephen!" Peggy sighed.

"Just hear me out." He began. "Do you remember how much we used to love each other?"

"I remember I used to love you. Then you kissed another woman." Peggy snapped.

"That was nothing! It was a dare from my friend. It was his older sister's best friend who was going through depression because she was lonely. And she got a boyfriend right after." Stephen responded. "I. love. you!"

Peggy sighed. A million thoughts running through her head at the moment.

Ugh!
What do I do?
He is very, very, handsome. And grandfather does seem to like him?
NOOOO! PEGGY!!! YOU STUPID, STUPID, STUPID, STUPID, IDIOT!!!! YOU LOVE LAURENS!!! YOU LOVE JOHN LAURENS!?!?!?!?!?

"Peggy please!" He whimpered. "Just give me a chance to love you again. For my love for you has never ceased."

Peggy thought for a minute.

Lord, show me how to say no to this!

His words did repeat themselves in her head. Maybe he was telling the truth. Maybe he had changed. Maybe he didn't need to change in the first place. Maybe Peggy just needed to listen to his part of the story. She couldn't find a good way to get out of this situation without having to face some sort of consequences.
Peggy went deep into her mind palace, trying to find a way to just go away, to go to the Washington house. To go to Laurens.

"Stephen, you know I'm with Laurens now." Peggy stated.

"I know, and he seems like a sweet kid." Stephen lied. In his opinion, Laurens was a stuck up orphan that was nothing but trouble and bad luck. But he would never say that to Peggy. Never. "And if he really loves you, he would want you to be truly happy. I could make you very very happy."

"Do you actually think so? Or do you just want me to break up with him?" Peggy stated.

"I want you to be happy. I want Laurens to be happy. I just don't think that a gorgeous girl like you and a talented artist like him.." He lied again. He didn't think anything good of Laurens, but he remembered Peggy saying he was an art major. "...would be as good together as you and I would be. I love you with all of my heart. Peggy? Just give me a chance."

"Wow, I didn't know you had a way with words. You remind me of Alexander." Peggy smirked.

"Who's that again?"

"Eliza's husband."

"Right, right."

She smirked at him.

Peggy didn't know what just happened. So many thoughts were rushing through her head. Why did she do that? How could she do that?

"I have to go!" She blurted out and ran away.

"Wait! Peggy don't go yet!" Stephen tried to run after her. He failed to catch up as she ran out the door.

Peggy no!!! How could you do that? To Stephen? To John?

She broke out of her thoughts as she ran out the door. Then as she ran down the street, they caught back up with her again.

Why? Why did you kiss Stephen?
