Thing's between Laurens and Peggy had been a little awkward lately. But now that they were going to college, things were about to change.
"Lafayette!" Alexander screamed. "I know you took it!"
"I didn't take anything!" Laf yelled back as he finished packing the rest of his bags.
"My hair gel is missing! I know it was you!"
"Oh yeah." Laf laughed. "I might have taken that and burned it a week ago!"
"WHAT DOES 'YOU MIGHT' MEAN!!!"
"I did?" Lafayette feared for the worst.
"AHHHH!" Alexander went out of the house, jumped in his car, and drove twenty minutes just to get more hair gel. By the time he came back, everyone was ready to leave.
"Laurens!" Washington called. "Come on, let's go!"
"Coming!" Laurens grabbed his backpack, the only things in it were the things he had with him when he first came to the Washington's house. Which happened to be the same things he had since he was five. The things he had when his father left him. Laurens scooped up his mother's box and added it to the objects inside.
He swung the bad over his shoulder and went downstairs."Come on boys!" Washington called as they walked out the door.
They arrived at King's college in about twenty minutes. They all found out what rooms they were in, and began to move in.
"Do you know who your roommate is yet?" Alexander asked. He had already brought all his things into his dorm, and was now helping Laurens.
"Yes. He arrived before I did." Laurens said. "It's James Reynolds."
Alexander shrugged.
"What about you?" Laurens asked as they approached his dorm.
"No, he hasn't showed up yet." Alexander replied.
"Ok, this is the one." Laurens said. "173."
"Mine is like three doors down." Alexander explained.
Alexander helped Laurens bring in the rest of his stuff, then went to help Lafayette.
"Yay!" Peggy squealed. "They're letting us be roommates!"
"Yay!" Eliza started jumping up and down like a five year old. "Come on, let's go find our room."
They walked down the hall until they came across a room 178.
"This one. And it's pretty close to Laurens' room." Eliza smirked.
"Yes." Peggy smiled. She unlocked the door and brought her first bag in.
"Peggy?" She heard a familiar voice.
"Stephen?" She said annoyed but without him noticing. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to help you move in." Stephen winked.
"I'm actually ok, I can ask Laurens if..." She was interrupted.
"Wait, that kid you were dancing with? Is he your boyfriend?" Stephen cringed at that last word.
"Yes actually. But thank you for stopping by anyway." Peggy tried to get rid of him.
"Ok, let me know if you need anything." He handed her a phone number.
"Thanks." Peggy rolled her eyes and walked into the room.
Alexander walked back down the hall. He went over to room 170. He opened the door to see his roommate had finally decided to show up.
