A/N: I know y'all hate Kitty. I personally don't like her myself. But this is going to be sad.

Spring had come. And who doesn't love spring? Well... maybe one person. Kitty hadn't told anyone in her family about her breaking up with Laurens yet. Eliza knew, but it wasn't her place to tell them, that was something Kitty would have to do herself. As everyone around her was happy in the springtime season, she was full of dread. She and the other Schuyler girls were having dinner with their grandfather, along with Alexander, John Church, and.... ugh, Stephen. Mr. Schuyler told her to bring Laurens too. But...

"Ava, what do I do?" Kitty said after calling her friend. "How do I tell him?"

"You should probably do it in person." Ava answered. "Or just make something up."

"I can't lie to my family. Not to mention the fact that his brother will be there."

"Just do it! Woman up already, gosh you're such a wimp!"

"You know what? I don't need my grandfather's approval to break up with someone." Kitty stated.

"There you go." Ava said. "Gotta go, bye."

"Ok, bye." Kitty said. She sighed and got up to get ready for dinner.

"Come on Alexander. We don't want to be late." Eliza called while fixing her makeup.

"Why not? I don't think he likes me." Alexander answered.

"My grandfather didn't like any of my boyfriends. But he will have to learn to love my husband. I'm sure he will eventually. He trusts me and knows that I wouldn't have fallen in love with a criminal or a scoundrel." Eliza replied.

"Scoundrel? Did I forget to mention that definitely describes me?" Alex joked.

"Oh well. I guess I'll just have to leave you and fall in love with some other boy who is much more of a gentleman." Eliza laughed.

"Oh well. It was good while it lasted."

"Yeah."

Alexander rolled his eyes and smiled.

"On a more realistic note. Reynolds Pamphlet." Alexander stated.

"Just don't bring it up and try to make sure they don't get the chance to." Eliza replied.

"I guess that could work."

"But seriously, we need to leave." Eliza said. "Come on."

"Fine. Let's get going then." Alexander sighed.

Eliza and Alexander went out into the hall. They saw Peggy there waiting for them. "You guys ready?"

"Yep, where is Angelica?" Eliza asked.

"She and John left already, it's just us." Peggy answered.

"Ok then, let's go." Eliza replied.

They all drove over to Schuyler Manor and went into the banquet hall. Angelica and John already had arrived just like Peggy said, and so had Stephen. But there was no Kitty.

"Hello Peggy!" Mr. Schuyler jumped up. "How are you darling?"

"Good, how are you?" Peggy asked.

"Fantastic. Eliza, you look just as beautiful as your mother." He continued.

She blushed. A lot of people said she looked like her mother, but she wished she was still alive so she could compare for herself. "Thank you."

"Mr. Hamilton."
