Alister and Jane had a date coming up. They were alot more relaxed now that the school year was over. Alister insisted on paying for dinner, but Jane wanted to split the check. They agreed on him paying for dinner and her paying for movie tickets. They were going to meet at six at the restaurant. For everyone else, they were spending their days moving out of their dorms.
Stephen was getting jealous that Peggy and Laurens were friends again. Mainly because he and Peggy started out as 'friends' before she and Laurens broke up. So that was awkward.

"Why do you have so many shoes?" Laurens joked.

"Because. You have a turtle, I have shoes." Peggy rolled her eyes and laughed.

"Ha, yeah right. Like one turtle, that need I remind you that you gave to me, can possibly compare to the hundreds of shoes I am packing up for you." Laurens teased.

"Ok, that's fair. But still, I think I have the right as a free American to own as many shoes as I want." Peggy smirked.

Stephen came in a minute later, Laurens stopped laughing and was quiet. He felt kind of awkward whenever Stephen and Peggy kissed or hugged, but he never showed it to Peggy. That would just be mean.

"Hey baby." Stephen came in. Just as Laurens suspected he would, he leaned over and kissed Peggy's lips. And for some reason, the two of them just stayed like that for a few minutes. Laurens just sorta sat there on the floor awkwardly, trying to focus on something other then the two of them.

"Hey my man!" Peggy smiled. She leaned in for another kiss. Laurens would've left if it had been as long as their last one, but luckily it wasn't. They pulled back apart and Stephen finally noticed that Laurens was in there too.

"Oh hey Laurens. Thanks for coming to help my sweetie move." Stephen said.

"Ah, it's no problem. She helped me pack up so I thought that I could at least do the same for her." Laurens smiled awkwardly. Poor boi.

"Well it helps because she had way too many shoes." Stephen laughed.

"Why does everyone keep saying that? I like shoes. It's not a crime." Peggy protested.

"But it makes moving harder." Stephen gave her another kiss for no fricken reason.

Laurens again just tried to focus on something else. He stared down at the floor until they were done.

"Ok then! Let's get all of this stuff down to my car." Stephen said.

"Yeah sure. I'll help you with the shoes. You'll need it." Laurens joked.

Peggy slapped him on the arm playfully. Stephen nodded in agreement though.

"It's fine that you have a lot of shoes. Doesn't change the fact that they're heavy."

Peggy rolled her eyes and grabbed a box to take down to Stephen's car.

Alister met Jane at the restaurant they had chosen to eat at the day before. He was nervous. He bought her some flowers and some semi sweet chocolate. He remembered her saying one time that it was the perfect balance of chocolate. When she arrived, she started laughing. Alister didn't know why.

"I'm sorry. It's not you, I just think it's really cute that you got all this for me." Jane smiled.

"Why, is it too much?" Alister questioned.

"No, it's you. And you're the reason I'm here so it's perfect." She gave him a little kiss on the cheek.

"Sorry I'm not as out going as you are." He mumbled.

"Don't be. I like you better that way." She smiled.

They went inside for dinner and ordered their drinks before starting the conversation up again.

"So tell me a little about yourself." Jane smirked. "What are your likes and interests?"

"I like watching TV, movies, Netflix. Let's just say I really like cinema." He laughed.

"Top three favorite Netflix movies or shows." Jane said.

"Originals or anything on Netflix?"

"Anything on Netflix."

"Ok, umm. Parks and Recreation, Jurasic Park, and The West Wing."

"Wow, the west wing." She teased. "I'm just messing with you, it's a great show."

"Ok, what would you choose?"

"Easy, Stranger Things, Cobra Kai, and of course, The Office."

"Of course?"

"Of course."

After they were done with dinner, they went to see a movie, and even though Jane wanted to pay for snacks, he surprised her and paid for it anyway.

"You know what the only thing I hate about movie theater concessions is, that they never serve good candy. Like I know they have KitKats, but what about the other good stuff that you've just replaced with three different kinds of sweet tarts?" Jane ranted.

"Well, what would you replace it with?" Alister laughed as they walked over to the theater.

"Chewing gum would be nice. It's like my favorite candy ever!" Jane continued. "I chew it all the time and yet I still have perfect teeth."

"Define perfect?"

"I've never had one cavity in my life. Even when I was a little kid I kept my teeth perfect." She laughed.

"Well, I know I have a keeper when she confesses her obsession with chewing gum and brushing her teeth." Alister joked.

"Yep!" She smirked.

While watching the movie, Jane grabbed Alister's hand, making him blush bright red. She chuckled a little at the sight. Jane liked guys who were sweet and innocent, the guy who stutters while trying to talk to a girl. It let her know that he really cared about her that he had to rethink every word he said so that she would like him. But she never needed the perfect guy, she liked the awkward one.

"C-Can I kiss you?" He asked.

She started laughing. "That would be the first time I've heard that. But if you want to."

"Ok."

He leaned in and their lips touched, coincidentally right as the characters in the movie did. If you saw from behind you would see they lined up perfectly. When they finally broke apart, Jane was smiling brightly, and Alister was bright red again.

A/N: Back when writing the first book, I had alternate endings in drafts for how Alexander and Eliza first kissed. So I thought I'd pull one of those out to complete the chapter. Plus, I'm probably only going to do one more chapter after this. But after what happened when I finished the first book, I'm going to assume you will probably want a sequel. So don't be worried, there will be more of the Hamilgang coming soon.
