This is where things get a little awkward. It had been a few days since Valentine's day and Laurens still didn't tell anyone what happened. After the fight with Alexander, he didn't think he deserved to get to be friends with them again. But he still had that one thought in his head. 'Does Alexander really think I killed my mother? He said it wasn't my fault.' John still didn't know what to think.

Lafayette was a little concerned when they hadn't seen him or heard from him in days. So he sent him a text.

FrenchAndStuff🥖: Hello? Are you alright mon ami?

LittleBrother🧒: Yeah, I'm sorry for being such a jerk lately. I should've listened to you.

FrenchAndStuff🥖: What do you mean?

LittleBrother🧒: Kitty. I should've waited to start dating again.

FrenchAndStuff🥖: What happened? Please tell me you're not about to jump off a building or anything like that.

LittleBrother🧒: No, James and Maria are looking for a new apartment for her and the baby. I've been chilling in my depression all day.

FrenchAndStuff🥖: I'll be right over.

Lafayette put his phone in his pocket and went to Laurens' dorm. He found the boy stretched out in bed watching those murder movies where they always kill the spouse or girlfriend. You know what I'm talking about? Anyway, it was sad. Laurens did look better though. He had stopped wearing all the rich leather and stuff that Kitty bought him, his hair was curly and back to normal, and he seemed a lot more distressed than before.

"Mon ami?" Laf asked. "May I ask what happened?"

"Kitty dumped me on Valentine's day." Laurens sighed. "Turns out, she didn't actually like 'me', she just liked the look of me. In leather apparently."

"I'm so sorry Laurens."

"Well, at least we're both bachelors now." Laurens smiled-ish.

"Welllll....about that." Laf began. "I may or may not have found a girlfriend at Herc's party on Valentine's day?"

"You may or may not?" Laurens asked as more of a statement.

"May, she's really pretty. Her name is Adrianna and she's the sweetest soul ever." Laf said. "Well, maybe Eliza is, but Eliza is like the poster girl for goodness, so she doesn't count."

"Then that makes me the poster boy for heartbreak?" Laurens sighed. "Maybe loneliness in general."

"Don't worry mon ami, you just need to find a special girl."

"Ok."

Lafayette had to leave, but he told Eliza what Laurens said to him. Eliza knew what he did to himself when Peggy dumped him and wanted to make sure he was ok.

"Laurens?"

"Yeah?"

"Laf told me what happened with you and Kitty, are you ok?" She asked.

"I'll be fine."

"Let me see." Eliza walked over to Laurens.

He rolled up his sleeves one at a time to show her, then he lifted up his shirt. He was clean.

"So Laf just sent me a babysitter?" John sighed.

"Actually, I came here on my own. I wanted to hear the full story." She said.

"Well, I was supposed to meet her at a café not too far from here. I was walking around the corner when I heard her talking to her friends about me. She said that I was 'cute' and all but that she wanted to change my personality. Apparently that comes with a lot of leather jackets. Anyway, she said that I was crazy for being an art major because no one can make a living off of that." Laurens ranted. "I told her I over heard and so she dumped me before I could dump her."
