Backstory: She grew up in a small apartment with her parents and after someone set their apartment on fire, her parents risked their lives to get her out. The father was the only one to make it out, but ended up dying from inhalation of smoke and debris. Shira happened to be in charge of the case and decided to take in Rei when Shira was eighteen and Rei was nine years old.
