Background: She grew up in an abusive home with her father who would drink a lot after her mother passed away from giving birth to her. After entering late elementary school age, she ran away and lived on the streets until she was offered a job by a candy shop owner and she ended up adopting Hikari and sending her to school. Hikari decided to take the candy shop owner's last name and completely disown her old last name.
