“Congratulations!” Trish hugged me and kissed me on both cheeks. “Ella, do you want to go with us, me, Nate, Mom and Dad? We’ll eat at our favorite restaurant to celebrate.”
“Thanks Trish, but we will also be celebrating; Manang Luisa and Manong Jun are waiting for me at the car park.”
“Are you sure? We all can celebrate together.” Her eyes full of concern.
“Yes, they’re my family. Mom and Dad need to go back to our company because they have an important appointment with the investors. I am alright Trish, thank you.”
“See you on my wedding. You have to be there because you are my maid of honor! Bye!” she said and they left.
I hurried myself to go to the car park when I saw a man. That man. My man. He’s standing near a car as if waiting for someone. This is my chance to talk to him, I ran fast but when I was about to get near him, he went inside his car and drove off. I shrugged when I saw him leave again. Will I ever have the chance to meet you? I composed myself, deleting all the thoughts coming thru my head. I should celebrate. At least, I saw him on my very important day. Positive vibes, just positive vibes I told myself.
