Chapter 23

I really had a good night sleep. I even dreamt of him last night. My knight in shining armor, my prince is now finally here for me.

I stretched out and looked outside the window. “A very good morning to everyone!”

Manong Jun who is at the garage heard me and he smiled at me. I smiled back at him and even waved at him.

I showered quickly and headed downstairs.

I didn’t notice my mom who is at the kitchen and she’s eyeing on me. I went to dad and even kissed and greeted him, “Good morning dad!”

He put down his newspaper and looked at me, but I’m on my way to the kitchen to greet my mom, “Hi mom, good morning.” I hugged and kissed her.

I can see wonder in their eyes and my mom finally asked me. “Are you okay sweetie?”

“Yes mom,” I smiled broadly at her.

She just shook her head and continued chopping the potatoes. What are you cooking mom?

“I’m going to make mashed potatoes. I’m chopping them so it won’t be hard for me to mash them.”

“Okay, any help?” I offered.

She shook her head, “Just tell me what’s going on.

“Nothing mom, I’m just. . . Happy.” And I left her; I’m neither granting any interviews nor answer any interrogations right now.

I went outside to get some fresh air, “So peaceful,” I said.

Manong Jun just looked at me, maybe wondering.

I remembered to check my phone, so I went inside the house straight to my room. I searched for it, “Where did I put it?” I asked myself. “Ah, there you are.”

5 missed calls, all from Trish.

2 text messages, still from Trish.

I opened the messages and it read.

From: Trish-best

 

**I’m sorry for what happened a while ago. Nate wants us to go home. Really sorry.**

 

The other text:

From: Trish-best

 

**Best, are you mad at me? I’m really sorry. Did Justin take you home? He’s also not replying and he doesn’t answer Nate’s calls. Please, I need to know if you’re okay.**

 

She really is worried. So I typed my reply.
