**OK. SEE YOU.**
Manang Luisa made some oatmeal cookies and I packed them for later. I prepared some sandwiches and fried some chicken lollipops. I arranged them in a picnic basket. Trish will bring some food too, because nowadays, she’s always hungry.
Excitement fills me, this is the first time Trish and I will be having a picnic with her husband. I love the both of them. I mean, the three of them, how could I forget the baby.
“You’re going somewhere sweetie?” asked my mom.
“Trish, Nate and I will be having a picnic. We’re going to celebrate.”
“Just the three of you? You don’t have a partner?” there is sadness in her voice.
I narrowed my eyes on her, “Ma! I don’t need a partner for a picnic. It’s not a dinner date.”
“Okay sweetie,” she held my hand.
“I just want to see you happy,” she added.
“I am mom, I have you, dad, Manang and Manong and Trish.”
“Yes, but I do want you to have a happy heart sweetie.”
“In time mom.” I tried to smile at her.
“Ella! I’m here. Let’s go.”
I heard Trish called from the living area. I hurried down the stairs; she’s talking to my mom.
“I’m ready,” I said picking up the picnic basket.
“Let’s go,” she smiled broadly at me. “Bye tita,” she kissed my mom on the cheek.
“Take care both of you and enjoy!” She waved us good-bye as we enter the car.
We are seated at the back of the car, “Where’s Nate? I thought we are going to have a picnic today?”
“He’s going to follow us; he just had an important thing to do at the office.”
