~Hawke~

Hidden passage was left open and the humans seemed to be hard at work. The way to the passage would be no problem being invisible, but I'm sure they could still bump into me. Finally, a path opened up and I stepped out timidly ensuring that they really could not see me. There was no alarm from anyone and they walked past me as if I was not there. I slipped in and continued to where I had last seen the light last.

There were other halls and passages that led to other areas that were very dark. The smell of blood filled most of them and there was no telling if anything was alive. I made it to the large metal door that I had seen the light, there was ash and soot along the bottom. I made my way closer to inspect it and there was a bright light coming from the gap below the door. This light, there was something about it, it glowed in a way I'd never seen before.

Commotion came from behind and it was the man in the white coat from before. He was followed by many others, some in lab coats others in armor and guns.

"Dr. Pavlov Yanovich, the specimen you asked for is prepped and ready." A woman said. "Very good, let's get started."

They all placed things over their eyes as he opened the door to the room. An extremely bright light flooded from the room making it hard to open my eyes. They all stepped inside and I followed them into the room.

A bright orb was the source of the light sparks flew from it going in many directions. Metal like hands held it in place inside a large glass box. There was no question that this was Avis light, the one the humans stole from her. It was something that no human could have made, the question was what they planned on using it for.

"Bring the instruments and the specimen to me. Let's finish this quickly. I have other things I want to experiment on." The doctor spoke.

He placed gloves onto his hands and others followed suit preparing for what was to come. A table was rolled in with various instruments to use on the next victim. To my surprise it was not a wolf it was a human and by the smell of it, it was dead. The doctor went to work injecting the body with serums and restrained it onto the table.

"Roll it in and make sure that the door is sealed tight." He gestured with his hand.

Men rolled the body inside closing the door behind as the rest looked on through the glass window. Guards came into the room heavily armed with large guns pointed at the glass. They each held a large robust triangular shield made of steel. The edges were enhanced with a broad metal lining and decorated with a simple layer of paint on them. Its center garnished with small scrolls attached with wax and intertwining metalwork. They were ready for anything and everything. Those shields captivated my attention. I had seen them before on something.

Before I could think further a loud machine-like sound started up and the sparks on the light became intense. It zapped into the body making it jerk around as the light intensified getting brighter. The humans continued on looking, waiting for it to be over and soon a screech could be heard.

The machine started to power down as the screeching continued on and the ones in lab coats stepped back away from the glass. The smell of fear filled the room and even the guards held their weapons up ready to shoot. Everyone was afraid except the Doctor who stood on with an eerie smile on his face. The light dimmed down and it was easier to see into the glass confinement.

My hackles raised and my senses were overloaded at the monster that stood inside the glass box. It had two sets of eyes that observed its surroundings from their tiny sockets. A barely existing nose rested below the eyes and it had a huge mouth below that. It drew all my attention at how large it was and equipped with rows of huge teeth and broad tongue.

Its ears were thin and warped on each side of its thin head, which itself is covered in rows of spikes. Its body is hunched over and two fleshy arms hang at its sides ending in claw-like hands. It's legs are muscular and end in strong large feet. There is fur covering most of its body in patches of brown. Its body constantly moved in odd ways changing the way it looked. A spray comes from the top of the glass box showering it with some type of red substance. When it clears the monster begins to turn more human like yet still creepy to watch.

"Yes!" The doctor clapped his hands together. "Not what I was expecting but it looks like it survived, count this as a success and start the next round of tests." He spoke. The lab coats went to work gathering things to use still in fear of the monster.

What had they done? They were creating dangerous things that were capable of who knows what. What's scarier, that humans were using something they did not understand.

Alerts went off and the creature began to bubble moving in odd ways. The doctor shouted orders to them trying to get the lab coasts to go inside and stable it. Yet before they could it burst and turned into ashes.

"Not again! Clean this up and get me another." He shouted.

I had seen enough of this; my eyes could not take any more of the humans' dealings. The door opened and I ran as fast as I could to the exit. I had to share this with Mimas before it was too late.
