Asking for help was something that I did not enjoy doing, but for the sake of everyone it was needed. Hegan gathered with other men talking about the strange moon and why it was here.

'We need to talk.' I stated.

It startled him not knowing where the voice came from but quickly spotted me. Leaving the men as he made his way towards me. We walked out into the woods where no eyes could see. Although no one would hear it was best to take every precaution. They had not yet discovered the missing Essence and I would like to keep it that way until the time came. It would give the ultimate vantage point.

'What is it?' He asked.

Sensing something was off with him he looked uneasy. 'We need your help, the wolves need to be released, the gates have to be open.

'And you want me to open them?' He crossed his arms shifting his body weight from one foot to the other.

I was quickly losing my patience. I did not have the time to sit here. 'Can you do it or not?

He smirked. 'Of course I can. It's just a risk being caught but I can get in and do it no problem.'

Men started to gather and there would be too many eyes. It was time that we both went separate ways. 'Very well. They shall fight from the outside and I will round up the captured wolves inside.'

He left without another word going to fulfill the task. It all rested on the man who for so long had tormented the very wolves around him. Decades had gone by being the source of their suffering. What made me feel uneasy was his ability to actually pull it off. If he failed then we were left without a vantage point and there would not be enough fighters to take on these experiments. Whatever power that remained dormant on this land would soon be awakened.

Nonetheless, the fate of wolves rested in the hands of a human, now that was rich.

The dungeons were cast with a dark aura that lingered. Every wolf silent as I approached the cells that held them. A darkening force was further down in what looked to be a reinforced containment.

Many Alphas were locked down here and they all quipped up at once.

'We will take on the inside as our wolven ken take on the out. We have to move quickly as soon as all doors are open.'

'I will fight.' One Alpha said.

'We will take them down once and for all.' Another announced.

More following suit as they expressed their urgency to fight and rage. All of them are eager to fight. Yet one thing remained on my mind that led my thoughts astray. Mei!

Knowing I had no time to place her into safety I would have to give the task to someone else. Although it may have sounded odd to the other wolves, I had to make sure she was safe. Mei was special to me and for whatever reason she and I were intertwined. After this was over nothing was going to stop me from being close to her, from protecting her.
