~Elara~

Pure agony was the only thing I felt, the constant waves of pain rushing through my body making it rip at my insides. It was like I was becoming undone and the more time went by it seemed to accelerate. His canines were buried deep in my neck chanting over and over in the mind link.

'Mine. Mine. Mine.' He tightened his hold on me like I would disappear.

My body was in a state of shock constantly shaking unable to control sensations inside. I felt something entering my body changing it from the inside. What was he doing to me and why did it hurt so much?

He could have killed me by now but he seemed to want me around, otherwise he would have already. Now all I could do is sit and wait for him to gain control or for myself to pass out. It felt as though he would never stop. There was no stopping him. I was too afraid of what he might do to me if I moved.

His jaw slackened and released me but his paw held my body in place. It was like having a large boulder placed on top of me and breathing was hard to do. My breath came in soft short pants making it almost impossible to get enough air. I had to try and link him again before I passed out.

'Mimas, please.' I tried to reach him but there was no answer back. 'Please answer me.'

I pleaded feeling a sense of hopelessness setting in.

'Mine.' Came his beast response grabbing down onto my neck yet again.

I howled in pain trying to move from under him the dirt beneath my paws not giving me enough traction. He only bit down harder causing me to see black spots dance around. He was going to kill me if he did not stop this.

'Mimas, you are hurting me!' I screamed into the link.

He jerked, pulling the skin with him and I felt blood trickle down my fur. It stained the dirt below creating panic within me. Never had I seen so much blood before and my heart kicked into high gear. I was almost sure that he didn't want to kill me, he just didn't have any control.

'Mine.' He let go once again licking at the wound to heal it.

It made me feel better and gave me reassurance that he would not kill me.

'Please get off of me Mimas.'

He growled into the night air shaking the trees around us.

'No! Mine.' He responded yet again.

'Please I can't breathe.'

Mimas sniffed at my neck before he took his paw off of me. I tried getting up to put some distance between but he growled yet again the blue light now swirling around me.

'Mine! You stay.'

The beast demanded baring his teeth at me and I laid down trying to gain back my strength. He watched my every move growling from time to time he seemed to not know what to do. Like he was conflicted over what to do with me. It was like we took a step backwards to where we were before we were linked, when he hated my every move.

There had to be a way to bring back my black wolf and have his beast recede. Yet it seemed he had no intention of letting Mimas come back.

'Where is Mimas?' I asked the beast.

He tilted his head eyeing me and I felt that it was a mistake for even asking.

'He does not know how to protect you.'

What was he talking about? There was no way I was going to be stuck with him the rest of my life. Mimas had to come back.

'But, Mimas protects me all the time.'

'No!' He came closer and for a moment I thought he would clamp down on my neck again. 'He left you with the humans.'

'He never left me to the humans I went there on my own. I'm sorry for scaring you.'

I hoped that he would allow him to come back, it was not like he had sent me there himself. It was I who wondered there out of my own frustration.

'He knew humans were at the gate and coming in, he knew you were in danger and left you there.'

My heart skipped a beat at the new information. It was not like I couldn't take care of myself but Mimas had to have known that I could handle it on my own. Well sort of.

'But he came just in time, no harm done.'

The Beast paced around me, licking the blood around his mouth. The light slowly receded back within from where it came.

'You are hurt.' He licked at my injured leg that was slowly healing up. 'From now on I will protect you.'

That very thought scared me! Living with the Beast that was more unpredictable than Mimas himself. My Mimas had to come back to me.

'What are you saying? That I will never have him back?' My limbs began to shake as I stood.

'For now, I will protect you, until he sees reason.' He stated.

'How long will that be?'

'As long as it takes. My main priority is getting you out of here and to safe grounds.'

His pacing stopped and he walked directly in front my standing tall making me feel intimidated. I had a feeling that he meant more than what he said.

'What about the other wolves that are imprisoned here?' I asked, not sure I wanted to know the answer to that question.

'I'll come back from them, now let's go.' He reached down trying to take me with him but I jumped out of the way. 'Don't test me.' The blue light shone brighter.

Large amounts of his anger began crushing me down but I refused to give in this time. There were too many wolves suffering and being separated from their families. I would not be the one to stand in the way of all of them being freed.

'I will not go! There is more than just me who needs saving.' I tried to reason with him. 'If you leave now many more could die. I'm a Royal now shouldn't I be able to have a say?'

My body was now curled in as I awaited his response as he sat down in front of me. I could bits of Mimas trying to come through but the Beast kept him at bay.

'Please let Mimas come back, I need him here.'

The light seemed to fade away but his red eyes remained and I held hope that it was him returning to me. Unfortunately it was not.

'We will stay, but Mimas will remain locked away. You are mine.'
