Chapter 3~Draco and Mummy

"It's changed so much" Hermione said as we made it down a deserted Diagon Alley.

"I know" I said as I looked around at the dark stores and the lack of eager Hogwarts students who populated diagon alley this time of year. "It's quite sad" I whispered as we passed a group of wizards dressed in black clokes glaring at us as we walked by. But I smiled slightly as we saw a tall narrow building illuminating brightly among the rest.

"Well this is it" Ron said looking up at Fred and George's joke shop that they recently opened in Diagon alley.

"It looks like they are managing well seeing that the whole alley is abandoned" I said As we entered the store which was extremely busy. Loads of different jokes, spells, and pranks we all around the two story store. Ginny, Hermione, and I drifted from Ron and Harry to explore the store on our own. The shelf that we went to first was glowing a bright pink color. I picked up one examine the heart shaped jar.

"Hello ladies" Fred and George said simultaneously.

"Love potions eh?" George said looking down at Hermione

"They really work, although I don't think you'll be needing one Haley" Fred said smirking at me.

"What do you mean?" I asked

"You and Malfoy seem to be going pretty strong" He said looking at george before they both let out as giggle. I looked around to see that Hermione and Ginny were both looking at me, Draco and I had obviously become a sore subject with them.

"You don't know what your talking about" I said with a small smile on my face putting the love potion back where I had picked it up before parting away as they were now harassing Ginny about her newfound love life.

I met up with Ron who was looking at some of the twin's newest pranks. "Oh hey Haley" he said as he saw me approach him.

"Hey Ron.. what are you looking at?" I asked

"These" He said holding up a handful of yellow candies "They make whoever you gave them to throw up, should I get some?"

"Yes" I said excitedly "You can give them to some of the Slytherins"

"Good idea" He said picking out some different colored ones ad Fred and George both walked by. "Hey guys.. how much are these?" Ron asked holding them up for Fred and George to see

"Five Galleons" George said.

"But I'm your bother" Ron said with a surprised expression

"Ten Galleons" Fred and george said at the same time.

"What about for me?" I asked taking the candies out of Rons hands

"Two Galleons" Fred said with a smirk on his face looking at Ron for a reaction.

"Rubbish.." Ron whispered "Lets get out of here" He said as we both made our way to the door meeting up with Harry and Hermione. We somberly walked down the dark Diagon Alley.

"Oh no" Hermione said stopping in front of one of the deserted stores.

"What is it?" Ron asked her.

"Ollivanders" she said peering inside one of the windows.
"Everyone got their wands there" I whispered as I remembered the time that my mother and I had gone to purchase my wand only five years before. I looked back up as I was drawn back into reality from my thoughts as Harry opened the door and walked in followed by Ron and Hermione.
"It's completely abandoned" I said as we entered

"It's not just abandoned" Hermione whispered "it's destroyed" I nodded in agreement as I saw the wand boxes thrown on the floor, wands that were snapped in half, tables flipped over, and torn up paper.

"Harry.." Ron said quietly as he peered out the window "Is it just me or do Draco and mummy look like a pair who don't want to be followed?" My head instantly snapped to the window as Ron was speaking. I walked quickly to stand beside Him. My heart fluttered in my chest when I saw him. He was dressed in black, standing timidly with his mother. Every part of me wanted to run out of Olivanders and into his arms but due to the circumstances that obviously wasn't an option, and before I knew it he and his mom disappeared into an alleyway.

Harry quickly walked out of the door with Hermione, Ron, and I close behind him, as we made it through the narrow alley I looked around creepily as people dressed in all black started to appear next to us.

"Harry I don't think this is a good idea" I whispered as I looked around skeptically.

"I know what I'm doing" he hissed back as we continued to watch Draco ahead of us moving quickly.

We neared a store called Borgin and Burke's. I stood for a moment admiring Draco as he prepared to enter the store. I then felt a hand grab my arm pulling me towards a staircase "Haley, you're going to get us killed" Hermione whispered

"Sorry" I said back, now a bit embarrassed

"Guys I think we could get some kind of view from up here" Harry said as he started to crawl up a roof Ron, Hermione, and I behind him. Once we neared the top we could see the light illuminating the surrounding building. We all peeked our heads over the top to see the group of the figures dressed in all black entering the lit up building hidden away behind Borgin and Burks. Included in the crowd was Draco. We watched through the large window in front of us as they entered. I watched as Narcissa grabbed Draco's hand kissing him firmly on the forehead before he walked over to a large cabinet touching his hand to its surface. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What is he doing?" I asked looking up to Ron and Hermione who were both on my left. Ron shrugged his shoulders before looking back at the window. The last thing I saw was Draco looking back at his mother before a large figure appeared directly in front of us. Panic rose in my body as we all ducked down as fast as we could. I felt the tension grow as the whole world went silent as we awaited for what would happen next but we were able to let out a breath of relief when there was no longer light indicating they that the blinds had been closed. Our vision had been cut off us leaving us all to wonder what was really happening inside.
