I shivered as i tried to sleep on the cold stone floor of the Malfoy's cellar the dim light of dawn seeping through the small cracks.. My body cracked and stung every time that I moved. I could hear footsteps coming down the steps but i didn't move. I just wanted them to go away.. I just wanted to be safe and happy.. with Draco. I felt the steps drawing closer to me as someone grabbed me by the arm bringing me up to my feet. It was Ivior. He grabbed my arm roughly leading me to the door..
"You have to do this" He whispered close to my ear
"Do what?" I questioned trying to act confident but I was sure that it was clear I was shaking in his grasp
"It's the only way he won't kill you" He hissed in my ear
"What?" I questioned again my voice growing more shaky. Ivior was about to respond but he stopped the second we entered the large room, that was again full of death eaters.
"Haley Halfheart" Voldemort spoke, I looked around the room and finally saw Draco standing next to his mother. He gave me a look of panic before Voldemort spoke again "Haley.. come forth and prove your newly found loyalty to..me" My breathing became heavy as my eyes widened returning Draco's look of panic back to him.
"No" I whispered as quietly as i could.. so quiet that it was almost silent, I backed up slowly until i landed on a solid body.
"Go on dear.. get it.. the dark mark.. prove your loyalty to us" Bellatrix hissed into my ear. I blinked before I stepped forward looking for anything that could get me out of this. And that's when I spotted it. I was standing slightly behind Ivior, and his wand was perfectly sticking out of his back pocket. My heart rate sped up rapidly as I lept forward for the wand gripping it into my hand. I didn't hesitate "Accio wand!" I yelled it took a second before my wand came flying into my hand. I hesitated for a spit second before I looked at Voldemort who now was pointing his wand at me, holding his hand out to everyone else telling them not to hurt me. My wand shaking was shaking in my hands
"You still have a chance.. join the superior side Haley.. I can give you everything you desire.." Voldemort whispered
"Stop..saying... that" I yelled before I aimed my wand at him again, but this time a green jet of light came out of it. Similar to the one that came out of my wand when I killed the death eater in the cafe a few months back. The jet of light sped towards Voldemort striking him in the face before he fell to the ground. The whole room went silent as everyone tried to decide what to do next. I saw Voldemort lift his face up.. a huge scratch ran down the side of it. Bellatrix and Narcissa both gasped.
"Kill her..KILL HER" Voldemort screamed. I stumbled backwards as curses and spells began to be cast at me. I didn't know what to do, I fell back as a curse flew by, but someone caught me. I was scared for a moment until i realized who it was
"Haley apparate!" Draco yelled still holding on to me.. he must not have had his wand "Haley go!" Then Bellatrix was in front of us
"Avada-" Three seconds.. I had three seconds to decide where to go.. or just stay and this could all be over "Kad-" 2 seconds, my safe place.. the place where I had grown up.. my parents, our holidays together.. i wasn't ready to go yet.. i needed to win this war, for them "-ave" one second, Ron.. our Christmas together.. shell cottage.. shell cottage.. Ron's safe place!
