Hours later Harry, Hermione, Ron, and I walked along the long bridge that branched from Hogwarts, It was sunny outside now.. and finally the warmth of the sun soaked our skin as we walked in it. I looked into the distance and didn't even notice when the three behind me stopped walking.
"Is she alright?" I heard Hermione whisper
"Haley" Ron said trying to get my attention. I turned around and realized that I had walked to far and found myself a bit embarrassed
"Sorry" I said quietly to Ron who took my hand in his...
"Harry... how come that didn't work for him?" Hermione asked as Harry examined the elder wand in his hands
"Voldemort thought that if he killed Snape the wand would become his... because Snaoe is the one who killed Dumbledore... but Draco is the one who disarmed Dumbledore" Harry said "And at the Malfoy Manor... I disarmed Draco, so..well, the wand belongs to me"
"So what are we gonna do with it?" Ron questioned
"Ron!" Hermione repremanded
"What?" Ron asked "Its the most powerful wand in the world..I mean we would be invincible with that thing" Harry shook his head before taking the wand in both hands... and snapping it in half. Throwing it into the endless cloud of fog that sat below us.
"Or we could do that" I said before all of us began laughing... Harry walked up to me giving me a hug.
"You did it" He whispered "You saved everyone"
"No Harry... you're the one that killed Voldemort.." I said pulling away from the hug
"Yes but that was only part of it" Harry said... "You..without you killing the snake we would all be dead"
"He's right you know" Ron said as he came up behind me "You saved us all... the villain Slytherin" he added sarcastically
"Shut up Ron" I laughed as he pulled me into a group hug with him, Harry, and Hermione.
Arter a few moments we broke away from eachother starring into the distance of our now peaceful world... Voldemort's was gone and the war was over.
"We should be getting back" Hermione whispered
"Alright" Ron said
"I'm going to stay here" I said
"You alright?" Harry asked
"Yeah..yeah I'm fine ill be over there in a second" I said
"I can stay with you" Ron said
"No that's ok" I said. The three of them nodded before heading back towards Hogwarts leaving me alone on the bridge starring ahead.. even though all was well and the war was over,, something was missing. Something that probably wouldn't come back, I knew he couldn't after what he did.. and who even knew what would happen to Drac0... Azkaban? I started to cry at the thought. He didn't deserve that. He was good and he deserved to be with us... to be with me. I rested my head on one of the stone pillars crying into my arms. I knew it was time to move on with my life And move past Hogwarts. I just didn't know if I was ready.
"Gosh..did you really miss me that much darling" I heard a voice say.. I instantly flinched... my head snapping up to see Draco walking towards me on the other side of the bridge. I stood up and started running towards him.. tears streaming down my face as i crashed into his arms. I cried into him as he stroked my hair.
"You came back" I whispered taking in his familiar scent
"Of course I did" He whispered back "I always will" I looked up at him smiling giving him a long kiss before he and I starred towards the sun... clinging to eachother desperately. The darkness was gone... the war was over... Draco and I were together.
And after all that
The sun had finally risen.
